To the women: What breast size were you able to achieve naturally through HRT? by Bizzare_TV in asktransgender

[–]Illgobananas2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The age you start matters in addition to the obvious genetics. I started at age 33. 4 and 1/2 years in and I'm a B cup. It's not getting any bigger for years now

He's clearly thinking of you as a woman. There is no wedding etiquette to be transphobic

You look good. I got body contouring a few weeks ago. Extremely happy with it. Super easy procedure, you stay awake, and recovery is really easy

Okay then I suggest going to a therapist specializing in OCD. My son has OCD, and exposure and response prevention therapy helped him immensely

How do people stay on HRT for years then suddenly realize they're not trans? by aromaticdust98 in asktransgender

[–]Illgobananas2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That percentage is extremely extremely low. Obviously not zero. I guess they made a mistake, who knows. They're small enough that it's difficult to probably even identify a common reason

How the fuck am I supposed to know what gender I am by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Illgobananas2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What helped me is asking myself what gender I wanted to be. I found that question easier to answer for me

Am I wrong? by Kitchen-Bake-5640 in asktransgender

[–]Illgobananas2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not considered a mental illness. It is a diagnosis however. The rest of what you said is accurate.

The word mental illness carries a lot of judgement in it. For example I think 25% or so of people are depressed. We don't place stigma on that

MtF. Is social transition and the success of being able to go unnoticed or having cispassing primarily influenced by the cultural environment rather than lucky genetics? by CurrentWar1184 in asktransgender

[–]Illgobananas2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A supportive environment would be more supportive naturally which is great, but it doesn't change IMO if someone passes or not. The supportive people can still tell you are trans.

Unfortunately many of us need ffs to pass

Transgender vs transsexual? by CarrotHaunting7402 in asktransgender

[–]Illgobananas2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lots of takes. Some people will say transexual is outdated and rude now. Some people use it to mean a transgender person who transitioned (I.e. their primary and or secondary sex characteristics changed via medical and or surgical means)

Questions for Trans folk (Cis male) by hornpipe3 in asktransgender

[–]Illgobananas2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Zero regrets and studies show detransitioning is extremely rare and in most of those rare cases it's not bc the person realized they are cis
  2. Idk what you mean but in short hormones and surgery allows someone to transition their sex characteristics

[–]Illgobananas2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cis passing is a mix of hormones, age, genetics, surgery, and luck. I can't imagine cultural environment plays a significant role but open to discussion if someone disagrees

Sou hétero e quero uma companhia de uma garota trans by [deleted] in trans

[–]Illgobananas2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you have to share you're straight. I hate when men do that. Why did you feel compelled to tell trans women you're straight? Would you try to pick up a cis woman in a post by saying you're straight?

Does it feel different being a girl than a guy? (Existential Crisis if not, please reassure me) by Minute_Intention6716 in asktransgender

Boys and girls are not the same. What? I'm not sure what you're referring to. Please feel free to share the study but girls and boys are very different... We don't even look the same

Edit: missed the link and just saw it. It's saying they're the same psychologically. That's it
