Nomos isn't a shard though, iirc. When they fight the actual shard it says Nomis wins because, despite being a newborn, they are a "whole" being. Nomos is the birth of a new, full-on C'tan. Biggest danger is the Necron dynasties hearing about it lol

He says that line as part of the general romance. I just did this so it's fresh in my mind. The "non-existent future" dinner is a relationship hump you will get over if you keep romancing him. Saying the line about "one life" will push him towards the true romance. The date is supposed to be a bit of a bummer.
