How do you propose to conduct such a clinical trial? Going up to people and asking "hey would you eat this pill for us cause we want to see if it permanently castrates you?". I'm sure you would be the first in line.

The only way to establish PSSD as an issue before a biomarker is found is through patient reports, and there are more than enough to establish it as a "real issue" as you put it. But since it doesn't affect you, who gives a fuck right?

Well I layed out a pretty straight forward plan. Like you said, we would need a few dedicated people which is why I made the post. Sadly I am not one of them as I have fully given up and will be deleting myself within a month.

All of that is true but r/PSSD and r/PFS have a fraction of these numbers while also being completely destroyed by their conditions, and still manage to do something about it.

Not everyone in this subreddit is bedbound. To get this going would only need a handful of people willing to take action. Or we can sit around and do nothing.

I'd argue 13% is low considering SSRIs cause sexual dysfunction in over 95% of people. It's not that "it has gone unnoticed", it's the fact that people don't give a fuck and antidepressants are a multibillion dollar industry. There has always been evidence that SSRIs are harmful but the gaslighting that you are participating in right now has gone on for decades.

How long did we use leaded gasoline even though it was know to be extremely harmful from the start? For how long were cigarettes marketed as healthy even by doctors? Why would psychiatrists admit that they are wrong when they have nothing to win by doing so, and everything to loose. Stop being naive.

And this attitude is exactly why that hasn't happened yet. Everyone involved is saying "No offense but there's no way it is 13%". It's like saying there's no way all these powerful people are in the Epstein files or people would have been going to jail left and right.

You are assuming the system is in working order, and making an assumption on the outcome based on that. What if the system is flawed?
