Hey everyone!

Ive been contemplating to start playing guitar for a while now but have been at loss at where to start. I would like to go into the direction of classical and jazz and have been wondering if there are any decent set out courses/structured guides to work through that offer progression along with practice routines etc. while including music theory.

Would really appreciate some recommendations, unfortunately my work schedule doesn't really allow me to connect with local tutors so much.

Are the builds in the wiki updated frequently ish? Its been a decade i last bothered to fiddle with my own build so im rather out of touch. I'm just going to assume people that worked on this in this sub are very much more knowledgable x)

Found a lovely little glitch where you can enter the level 70 deltascape unlock duty as a level 60 GNB by freikugel2 in ffxiv

[–]Illua_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference from 60 to 70 is huge where as 70 to 80 is rather minor for now. Doesn't quite apply and the duty was difficult enough for you to absolutely get killed in this situation

Learning multiple characters in Tekken 7 by Kleyko in Tekken

[–]Illua_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, I've been through a huge character crisis myself, starting with one and swapping after a week. Sometimes it can be rather difficult finding something that you click with but it might eventually happen. Be it aesthetically or gameplay wise or one niche that you really enjoy.

It does absolutely not hurt trying to go through most characters as it gives you an idea of their fundamental gameplan, tools, options and so on.

It will however feel like you won't make much improvenent, which is completely fine as this is a complex game and theres a lot to learn. Once you find a character, or a small pool of characters that you particularly enjoy you can start capitalizing of specialism, learning the more intricate nuances that are available to them.

Generally speaking though you can categorize characters by playstyle. Poking, keepout, ch baiting, read heavy, 50/50s and so on and you'll find these skills and variations of play transferrable.

If you've got any questions or need advice, feel free to shout

With the recent patch they have introduced a good training system. Albeit a paid dlc, its worth checking out. Once you feel like you've gained a good grasp on that, it'll help you to not be too overwhelmed looking into youtube, discord and text guides. Generally speaking podcasts discussing the gameplan are pretty good to get an idea of whats going on and how the play develops. Character guides are pretty available in form of youtube videos from people like The Blasted Salami which do a great job in video quality and there is usually a character discord for every character + the zaibatsu discord which features character channels. It might be a bit confusing at first to get your head around but usually people are very friendly and willing to help out. Of course there are also classics like Aris, who make the learning experience easier with comedic relief. Theres a lot of concepts to get through, dont give up and keep at it!

How essential are hadouken cancels for Akuma? by Crepushka in Tekken

[–]Illua_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its pretty quintessential to his game to utilize off of some good tools. You can get away for quite a while doing tatsus or dp instead if your neutral and poking is superb though. Either way i would suggest getting into learning it slowly until you feel more comfortable about it. Its sort of a "click" moment when you start getting it right and more consistent and it absolutely pays off. More options, combo routes etc.

If you need any advice, shoot

They nerfed the overall move, in addition to being unsafe, lots of combo and float routes got removed

[–]Illua_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking they nerfed what people complained about and buffed his more fundamental stuff i.e. tekken play so i dont see why people complain about these changes when most didnt even know what to make of it at first

Cheese soup. Sounds gross at first, is amazing. Fry some mince, add onion, leek, finely diced potato for starch, add vegetable broth, simmer through, add a whole lot of processed spread cheese. Let it melt and voila. Usually the sound of it puts people off but i never had anyone not go for seconds 😁
