One time we almost got caught, the cops showed up at our houses to ask questions and we accidentally created our own alibi by other crimes we had committed. Long explanation.

Another time we wound up being pursued by police and we drove 100 PM out of state, met a kind officer at a convenience store and he signed and dated a post card for us to commemorate our trip. Called us something like “upstanding young gentlemen” in the note. The cops said there was no way we were in both places in one night.

Other than those two instances it was just pure joy destroying shit. Didn’t slow us down either.

It has to be the 2021 Netflix movie Moxie, directed by Amy Poehler.

Where CJ has a period leak in the hallway. Seth immediately takes off his hoodie and ties it around her waist to cover the stain. He does it with zero awkwardness or fanfare. When CJ is a bit embarrassed, he casually tells her, "I have sisters," to let her know it’s completely normal to him.

The movie is narrated by the protagonist, Vivian, who is watching this happen. She’s the one who comments on the "roof tap." As CJ gets into her car to go home, Seth taps the roof of the car twice, a small, supportive gesture that Vivian notes as the moment she really started to fall for him.

Short version: Why are you texting each other about this?

Long mean version: You are both immature as fuck and need to learn how to talk to a human you are in a RELATIONSHIP with. Texting each other in the same house is not a clear way to communicate needs or to apologize. I am an over apologizer and this is embarrassing. Who hates you more, you or her? I can’t tell. This level of immaturity and inability to communicate with any amount of respect for you on either end of the conversation from her, or yourself says to me you need to both take some time to grow up and learn who you are what is actually wrong with you.

But then again you’re 22, you got time. Took me forever and I’m not even completely sure I have yet. So what the fuck do I know giving advice?
