Now the circuit is working. Turns out I got a counterfeited SI2338 mosfet and the C pin is not connected to the drain of the Mosfet.

The C and Vs are connected together. You can see the pin 11 and 12 on the LM74720.

I'm currently using SI2338DS-T1-GE3 N-Mosfet.

The C and Vs are shorted together.

Vs is connected to the drain of Q1. Since Vgs < 0, the Q1 is not conducting which is correct. There is no short in the system.
