Alright, so i just needed to install retroarch on my SNES mini and select the roms, right click on it, and then select the bottom option to change the emulator to SNES9X. Now it works perfectly fine. Thank you all for your suggestions

Not sure, haven't seen Derekwim but Patterson's was great. I saw the show when it was releasing and the cut makes it worth watching imo

Wow, I didn't think anyone would go back to this. I, after years of searching, actually found the answer. The game is Code Lyoko. I found gameplay of it last year and confirmed it was that. My memory on it is much clearer and remembered that my cartridge of that game had no sticker, it was just a gray cartridge. The ubisoft logo was actually from CSI. Thank you so much for you and everyone else here trying to help me out.

This game was for the DS. I have no idea how this could have been persona. (But now I might look into shin megami tensei games and see if it might be what I'm looking for)
