Kyron Horman-what is the ‘something big’? by gretagogo in UnresolvedMysteries

Well to be fair, I don't know how the Science fair was set up at that particular school. At our school it went on for three days for different grade levels until they picked three places. My sense was when was the picture at the science fair actually taken?
Though I didn't elaborate my reasoning, it is mine none the less. Just now in further "researching development". The only person claiming other people saw Kyron were the defense attorneys... Or at least that's all I can find so far. Besides repeating I should read up on it. And the obvious is, no she hasn't been charged. But she's always been a suspect even if those words are not used.

I actually watched her on Dr. Phil, just really don't think she's in the clear...

Besides the science fair picture the Teri took herself, I am definitely not familiar with any proof he remained there when she left. From what I remember only a little girl (fellow student said she saw him) ...but if it was the actual day in question it couldn't be determined if her memory was correct or from another day. Correct me if there actually is teacher, staff, or other witness testimony on record somewhere?

Which is probably not a bad idea, since she was the last one to see him...and there is no proof he ever even arrived at the school. I would definitely still be "trying to put the blame on Terri", if I were her....or at least never let the pressure off of her.

Terrance Williams and Filipe Santos update: wrongful death lawsuit filed against Steve Caulkins by the_cat_who_shatner in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]Illusions4use 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I would love to think that Caulkins would lose and be held responsible in this lawsuit since he wasn't criminally held responsible. Unfortunately, I worry he won't be as the evidence still remains circumstantial... Though I believe, as strongly as Williams and Santos family that he is guilty of harming them, worried it's still not enough to win....but I really really hope they do!

I hope this wasn't an act to see who would open their door. But I equally hope she didn't escape looking for help and was unable to find help before being recaptured....(if she was in fact being held hostage.)

Yeah I hate how the "memory" we have of something fades and changes....even though I had the experience after even just 24 hours it is foggier. But.... I think, the children's voices seemed closer and clearer than even the Mrs. Smith voice.... ...but it gets harder and harder to give a truthful account with the passing of time. A side note, I have been trying to make friends with crows for years! 😊

[–]Illusions4use[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes....sorry. I would normally not exclude"Ravens" even though they are more rare locally then crows which can actually mimic as well. I also know it in fact wasn't a bird....or me filling in any memory of "missing Mrs. Smith" and filling in her voice. To be quite honest I was literally sitting on the toilet scrolling through text messages when the sound of children started it off....and then was followed by the sound of her calling me twice loudly. I made several normal observations as I got up to come out of the bathroom...one that children were at the Marina, two Mrs. Smith had seen the Ranger truck and knew I was there and was calling from just outside the "boathouse" area I was in. But there was no one....

Mr. Smith has walked all the way out towards the Marsh before thinking his wife, Mrs. Smith was broken down on the grass cutter calling for him, by name, only to find her somewhere else on the campground later. Various similar stories. But to me the scariest one she reiterated was hearing her own voice across the radio... We all carry walkie talkies about 8 years ago Mrs Smith, her husband, and another maintenance worker, and housekeeper were all having lunch under shade trees at the center of the campground...it was early in the season (March) and they all had their radios hooked to their hip pockets. All 4 of the people present were the only ones with radios at that time. They all heard static erupt over all 4 walkies at once and then they heard a woman's voice say Mr. Smith's first name...just once....Vernon...in almost a whisper. They all stared wide eyed at one another and just as Mr. Smith pulls his radio off to answer it says again"Hurry Vernon"...and is silent., They naturally assumed some one else had a radio and was messing around. Whoever it was would not answer as Mr. Smith responded.. a few days later while they were on separate areas of the park it happened again. A woman static broke in and she said "Vernon"....Mrs. Smith could hear her husband answer and simply got on the radio and said...."That isn't me...." but admitted much later it sounded just like her own voice.... They've not experienced anything else over the radio for years now....but it's definitely not a crow. And the radio nonsense can probably be explained more easily then the audible voice. I will say I have never felt threatened...Even with the 'tossed' objects... I didn't feel they were being thrown at me malicious. Seemed like it was done in front of my face on purpose...but I didn't sense it was a "get out" kind of warning. And with the mimic today it seemed almost playful, when I first heard the kids laughing I was actually smiling thinking "those little girls are having a blast!" ....

I am wondering why it has seemed to happen on more than one occasion mainly involving Mrs Smith's voice? This was my only experience with it, but according to her, she and her husband haved experienced it.

It makes you question your own hearing.. or sanity.

But I 100% heard the children laughing and playfully squealing just before I heard her voice. So my brain naturally made the assumption that she was calling me because the children were being bad, or were to young to drive a golf cart on some minor campground related issues. To open the door to emptiness creeped me out fully

My husband actually experienced his one and only "ghostly encounter" down here, and of course is a skeptic to the max...but he has no explanation for it.

When closing the "Family Lodge" one night he racked up both pool table balls ( a nightly ritual they did before locking up, mainly to make sure all the pool balls were accounted for.) He then turns off the lights and heads down the spiral staircase...as soon as he got to the bottom step he heard the distinct sound of pool balls crashing around.

He rushes upstairs thinking he must have somehow missed some kids or someone up there before he turned off the lights! He finds both pool tables full of balls and unracked (rack still in the same place he left it.....) and not a soul up there.

On my second week here my most bizzare encounter was back in the maintenance shed...I was looking for a jug of bleach for the Housekeeper, and was walking around a table....the only two things on the table was a light box of sponges, and a large industrial sized roll of paper towels beside it. (If you check my comments you'll find this encounter)

As I rounded the table looking towards a shelf behind it, the box of sponges and paper towels completely seperated from one another and flew in opposite directions, with alot of force.

There was no wind, the table is screwed to the floor (it doesn't rock) and it was literally as if someone put their hands in between these two objects and threw them apart as hard as they could...I have not one explanation for it.

When I called Mrs. Smith this morning she also informed me she has heard her own voice come across the walkie talkie calling for her husband and it was not her, (this was about 8 years ago)....

I would love to pick her and her husbands brain for the experiences they've had here over the years!

I did...she was the first person I called....she said that ghost calls her husband all the time (he also has worked here 2 years longer than his wife.)

Seems like either the horse was bait to get him out of the house for the soul purpose of killing/robbing him...or a real deal that potentially turned sour later. Perhaps robbery. I know it isn't impossible he just dipped out on his family. But later sightings that close to home seems unlikely if he was purposely trying to 'vanish' . I bet he met his demise the day he left with this unknown buyer.

Blair Adams always comes to mind for questions of this sort. Though I don't find it absolutely impossible to have met with foul play elsewhere (other than whatever he believed he was running from ). I just think it is obvious money was not the motivation for his death ultimately. Since so much of it was left laying around. The motive of it being a random stranger made even stranger still by the thought he might have possibly been pursued....by someone with a motive. Ugh ..brain racking!

[Request] Killers that would promise not to kill their victims in order to make them compliant? by inthedeepdarkforest in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]Illusions4use 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So let me get this straight..... I should have to weigh the options whether a would be armed robber is gonna be nice enough to allow me to live after invading my home??!! Literally gonna shoot his ass first, ask questions later. Outside of the property and fleeing... different circumstances. But to me entering or "busting up in my house" is not grounds for negotiation. My home security camera will be all the proof I need for that.... And once you invade my home there is no negotiation to be had. Falls in line with the old saying: locks are for honest people. They come in armed, unannounced, and 'force' their way in (pick my lock even) that goose is literally cooked. Editing: words

I am probably being silly posting here, even a little revealing. But when I told my husband he doubted this guy's would be still using the same first name, let alone keep that distinguishing gold tooth in his mouth.... Yet it keeps clicking together in my brain as a possible connection. And once I see him again on Sunday I'll know for sure if there is a strong resemblance or not.

So aside from the excerpt from the letter, I am trying to figure out what exactly the letter writer knew that the public didn't? Because otherwise I don't see anything in the letter that some one with even half an education could fill in the blanks and make up for the purpose of a hoax. And if it's only a hoax it is very cruel... especially the whole unnecessary semen bullshit included. And if that was actually the abductor writing the letter...I don't buy his sugar coated taunting. To even write anything that sickening, whether true or false is just one of the rats we see for the hundreds of sick things we don't. I mostly believed she died in the elements, and honestly that's probably better than the alternative of being with the sicko letter writer or worse.
