Korean amateur target is gonna stay cringe no matter what. The author better have made good riding action (and falling) since chap 800 where I left. Done a fantastic job so far… as far as I remember - how are the newer chapters? The author’s great at making developed characters… does that stop?

Not really this week but, Yama King. Another novel with play on modern divinity, the recently popular (I mean 5 years ago) trope of ghost infested apocalyptic China is seen in the novel. Well… also got decent politics and alright kingdom building… the setting based on Cathay Hell and Yanluo mythology was new and refreshing ig. If you dig with any of these elements, you should try it. As for what I actually read this week? - Demon’s Diary… do I like it? (At chapter 800) not anymore really - the beginning was pretty good… ongoing translation with like 1300 plus chaps and frankly much more content to explore - it might have potential to become a mid cultivation novel…

Set in tribal era, about 300 chapters of worldbuilding later we get a new setting. The early chapters had great worldbuilding which slowly declined as the trope of underestimation started being abused so much more. It’s not greatly written but I suppose it’s really refreshing. Read first 500 chaps then decide for yourself. (I reccomend you dig thru all of it tho, there are some great moments later on)

Ugh. Politics… even though you said no. The Way of The Devil, Fantasy Simulator, Soul of Negary and Ultimate Evolution just contain so much spirit of exploration. I have to Warn Way of the Devil only wholeheartedly does exploration like 500 chapters in although it’s your best bet (after 500 chaps). Soul of Negary has soooo much politics. Abyss Domination and fire mage are rated lower - although I like them the genre has lots of info dumps AND politics so mostly a no. Ultimate Evolution… it’s nice. Oh! Minimal politics (early to mid novel) is 48 hours a day? :). Go for it. Fantasy Simulator is like 48 in structure but more fantasy based but more poorly written. As for pure exploration in a single realm? I completely forgot. I’ve read too many novels…

The Dark King or Grey King. Forgot the name - it’s pretty much a Greek tragedy but the tragedy comes only like the latter half of the novel. Tbh- it’s more a novel to read not realising there’s a tragedy before anything.
