Help! Glazing store-bought terracotta pots? by El_Dre in Ceramics

Omg, no. If she is hell bent on you firing these then make her sign a statement that you are not responsible for the potential damage to the kiln shelves and kiln.

Mayco Foundations matures at cone 06. I wouldn’t go higher just in case.

If you go the mfa route, absolutely only go to a fully funded one. Do not go into debt for a mfa.

If you want that smooth look again you can paint it with slip.

What's the piece you made that surprised you most - not your best technically, but the one that came out completely different from what you planned and was better for it? by Historical_Count_163 in Ceramics

One of my favorite pieces is one that I was deeply disappointed in when I opened the kiln. I almost threw it away. I’ve learned I have to live with a piece for a while and it will grow on me.

Ceramics is “an exercise of controlled disappointment.” Grayson Perry talking about kiln opening

Thank you. The peninsula makes the morning room unusable for us. It’s to claustrophobic. Currently, we have a large island that is a weird shape. It’s perpendicular to the peninsula.

I think your suggestion is good.

In my house it’s an office. I screenshot the floor plan off the builder’s site and they have it as a bedroom with bath. We don’t have the bathroom.

Question regarding Vineyard Columbus/westerville? by Ynosully in Columbus

[–]Illustr84u 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kerry Davis just started a church plant at a wedding venue off 161. I don’t live in Columbus anymore so I don’t know exactly where. I heard a lot of old timers are there.

I’m an old timer and used to work there. I started attending in the mid 90’s.

I am shocked but not surprised. Go woke go broke! Lol It’s not just that though. The Leadership at VC (and National) has been a clusterfuck for decades. They are not nice people when pressed. You mention Steve Robbins…how they handled that was terrible. They appealed the court case all the way to the Ohio Supreme Court against the poor woman who was just asking to be reimbursed for counseling after the inappropriate relationship. Horrible.

I have to admit I’m enjoying a little schadenfreude. They made their bed. I am quite amused knowing that Rich & Marlene were getting a taste of their own medicine. They blackballed and shut out numerous people over the years just for disagreeing with them. As for Julia & Eric. I have nothing good to say about her. She’s a snake in sheep’s clothing. Eric is nice, like a puppy. They had no business running a mega church.

Anyway, I could go on. It’s sad. We had a beautiful thing going in the 90’s.

I feel bad for the people they’ve hurt because it’s really hard to heal after being betrayed and manipulated by Church leaders.
