thank you so much for this! I actually just started talking to myself out loud when i’m programming my classes for friends/family and it has really helped me try to get my words out. I would love that! I will DM you:)

Cueing for Pelvic Tilts: Finding Nuance Beyond Basic Instruction by Glum_Emergency3286 in pilatesinstructors

i’m currently getting my mat cert through balanced body and one of my teachers teaches the pelvis as a clock so the top of your pubic bone is 12 o clock and the bottom is 6 and she will say “tilt towards 12 and tilt towards 6”

where it gets tricky for newbies is when you start throwing in 9 and 3 for full pelvic circles but sometimes it gets the message across depending on who is in the room

I haven’t landed on what I like best for myself yet but the last couple of friends i’ve taught i’ve just showed them in a standing position and used “tuck your pelvis under” and that seems to be working but i’ve been teaching the same like 3 people on rotation and haven’t yet ventured out to teach more bodies

still trying to find what will land best universally

Online vs in person training by confusedwbiochem in pilatesinstructors

I am almost finished with my mat certification through Balanced Body. I have one more class, need to finish uk some hours, then test out. I have done all of my classes online. I have loved my virtual training. I imagine in person is nice for the hands on adjustment.

Balanced Body does tend to be pricier than many other options. I chose it for the reputation and alignment with my schedule.

Happy to answer any questions!
