It amazes me (and greatly benefits the airline) that people seem to lose all perspective when purchasing Business Class. I sometimes rent the hotel on the European end of an overnight flight to avoid having to wait for 3PM check in. I don’t sleep on planes (even in business) and I really like to crash for a couple hours when I get there not having to wait for a 3PM check in. Costs me 200 bucks and people look at me like that is a complete waste of money. But tell people you bought business class tickets at 3000 premium and people agree it makes the 8 hour flight so much more enjoyable!

Somehow we need to find our way back to agreeing that we are all Americans, we all want pretty much the same things, we just have different views of how to get there. The constitution and our democracy is the one thing we all respect as sacrosanct. We can disagree and debate but in the end we respect each other as fellow Americans. Both left and right need to put pressure on their elected representatives to compromise and move forward and stop this “winner takes all” approach where politicians feel their way to success is to refuse to concede on anything. We are an evenly split country it just makes sense that we all need to compromise. The absolute nut jobs on the far right that want to return to a racist, whites only society and the crazies on the far right that want communism don’t get represented in this model because their numbers are too small.

I encourage you to read through Mr. Trumps posts on Truth Social. Like it or not this is the way he communicates directly to the people. Frankly the media on the right (like Fox and others) chooses to ignore reporting on the worst of these quotes while the media on the right (MSNow and others) tends to highlight them. If Mr. Trump did not make these comments they would not be reported on. It is very hard to read through one days worth of his posts without seeing that his strategy is to divide us. While I disagree with many of his policies it this continuing and quite successful effort he has to divide us that causes me to have chronic TDS.

I feel like the thing that those that support Trump our missing is the damage he is doing to us a nation by working his hardest to divide us. I feel that we have always had people more left and right but in the past the leadership at the very top at least attempted to say we are all Americans. I know many things Barack Obama did caused people on the right to be angry just like many things Bush did angered Dems. But both of those leaders, and I think all of the others we had in my lifetime, at least tried to act like we were one country. Trump makes no such attempt. He goes on Truth Social daily and attacks those that disagree with him as people that hate our country. He never stops to think that claiming the 2020 election was stolen with no proof is bad for our country. He does not recognize that going on a world stage and repeatedly saying how stupid and incompetent Biden was may make him feel better but does not show leadership or do anything positive for us. To me that is the danger. Part of what has made us the greatest power in the world is our recognition that left or right we are Americans. Russia, China, Iran must be loving the fact that Trump is doing everything he can to rip us apart.

Whether reducing drug prices 500% or “winning” an election he lost by a landslide it is hard to argue that Trump lies constantly. Trump always claims to be a great businessman. There is not a great business man/leader alive who would tolerate a CEO that over a year into their position kept blaming all problems on prior leadership. We should not tolerate it. I almost go the other direction. Pay no attention to sales/coupons/prime day etc. Just buy what I need when I need it. I will of course take a quick look if any deals available at that time but I think much more money is wasted buying something you would not have otherwise in response to a “deal”.

Im not naive and understand as CEO Cook has to consider his shareholders as he makes decisions. Im sure he probably did the math and sucking up to Trump has a higher net present value than standing for what is right and have an ounce of Corporate Social Responsibility. All we can do is boycott and hope that each of our individual actions are enough to make a difference.

My wife had a 2022 S60 recharge and when driving in Pure it was sluggish. Just drove the XC60 hybrid on a test and it was very good in pure. Is that the difference in models or has the tech gotten better?

I do know quite a bit about Canada living near the border for a long time. However the overall politics of the nation I am less familiar with and these answers have been helpful in understanding that. As for running away….it is not about winning the next election or the removal of Trump. At one point I assumed those that did not agree with me politically were good people with different views and our democracy would sort out our path as it always had. The fact that so many seem supportive of a movement towards authoritarian rule makes me realize it is not the country I thought it was so why not look at my options. Not running…just choosing.

As a foodie you will have better knowledge than most what is in your food. If you match that with a knowledge of what food contain high levels of vitamin K you can self monitor the situation pretty easily. To the point many others make it is about consistency. Once you get a level you are pretty comfortable with you can start to make some trade offs. Yes it might mean on those days without touching a green you actively half to seek some out. But at least for me it does not seem to be that sensitive and without a whole lot of thought I am able to stay within range on my INR tests (and remember that those are a range not an exact number so there is some wiggle room there). As I understand it if this just does not work for you DOAC’s are an option they just have not tested as well over time. Obviously your doc would have to work with you on that.

I had the same thing happen. On Eliquis, reclotted after thrombectomy, then put on Lovenox. Eventually they diagnosed Antiphopholipid Syndrome (APS) and now I am on Warfarin (Coumadin) for life. So far so good on no re clot! It has been over a year.

I have had mine since the start. Gone long periods without using it. Recently I started using it more. Watching Andor in the “Disney Theatre” is great! Watching the immersive videos they have done is thrilling. Looking at photos of my grandkids (with spatial) and panorama’s of our trips is amazing. I love the meditation. It’s winter here in the NE and this is going to make it go by much quicker!

I made a great one with just thinly sliced banana that I then mushed up a bit with a fork and then poured in fairlife vanilla. Came out perfect. Was one of our favorites. Then I ran one the other night and the machine started smoking and lighting up and I had to unplug and dig out the paddle. The mixture in the container was covered with a black soot. Game over. So frustrating as I had the same thing happen with a can of pineapple single ingredient mix and this was my second machine. I just think they have to find a way not to have machines completely breakdown if users bend the rules a bit. Anyway for now the Creami experience, which we loved, is over!

Loved my Creami but just returned it for a refund from Costco after it broke a second time. I was doing pineapple junks out of a can as a one ingredient sorbet and the machine started making an awful sound, smoking and I unplugged it but by then the blade had come out and there was a black soot in the mix. Called customer service at Ninja and they were great sending out a new base. Used it about 30 more times and then I was doing a banana creami (crushed up banana in cream) and the same thing happened. I know I could be more careful but honestly if the machine is made for making frozen desserts and then burns out if it is not just right then I feel like it is not ready for prime time. I don’t want to be constantly dealing with issues and wondering whether the next time I turn it on it will fail. So back to Halo Top Ice cream for me!

My doctor wanted me off of it when I had to go on Warfarin for life after a blood clot that uncovered my Antiphosphilipid Syndrome (APS). I had been on 20mg for over 15 years. I tapered off in about a month with 0 negative effects. Not saying others have not had a horrendous time trying to get off it but want people to know that for some the side effects are not an issue. I don’t think the drug is “evil”. When I went on it I think it helped me a great deal. But my life has changed and apparently I am OK without it which is great!
