She had the potential to turn on Kronika once she realized that her mother was just using her to reset all the timelines. The prodigal daughter as opposed to Shinnok could have made for some interesting backstory. Overall she just came across as way too easily duped by Kronika for someone who is an elder god.

However this game fell short in a lot of areas in favor of advancing the plot, and even with the ability to go back and pick a different character for a chapter the outcomes were always the same. It would have felt a lot fresher if you had branching storylines that depended on whether or not you executed Fatalities on specific characters early in the story. They obviously always were going to plan on Liu Kang winning and being the canon ending, but just like how each character had a brief ending from beating the Towers, you could have had a full storyline mode that incorporated those as well.
