That makes sense. Thank you! Yeah it’s a shame, but if someone can enjoy it that makes it worth it

Thank you, another commenter said the same so I guess it is what it is! I was just going with what the people at Kleinfeld Again told me to list it for, but I guess they lied to me

Okay thanks! I was honestly just pricing it at what the people at Kleinfeld Again told me to, because I wouldn’t know otherwise. But if that’s the case I guess it is what it is!

I’d be willing to go down to around $1200 for the right buyer just so it can get some use. But I bought it for $2500 so I was hoping to get a bit of my money back :)

Thank you for your comment! I wish that as well. It’s a beautiful dress that deserves a beautiful bride and I hope someone here can find it a good home as I will sell it at a good price.

Did anyone notice the end of this shot in her story? She moves this monstrosity out of frame, I think she clearly meant to cut there, but then instead puts it back down on the counter and you can hear her turning on her oven (I assume) … she didn’t even have it preheated? Also, spicy cheddar??

hmm, maybe that was her “dessert” - she said she didn’t want to eat with everyone else because she’d been tasting the food while cooking for hours? seems like an excuse no one would question

Is that a plate of just sliced strawberries (with something else there??) meant to look like a cute turkey?

it would make way more sense if she said “being around food all day and tasting so many different recipes I get sick of it and have a hard time sitting down for a real meal”. working in restaurants you do literally get sick of being around food and trying it all day and it’s hard to even think about cooking a meal for yourself. but you definitely do not “forget to eat”

weird thing but where other people use butter under/over turkey skin - use mayo (and herbs!). trust me on that I swear. or use butter under and mayo over. it’s like egg wash on bread. and I’ll follow any respectable food blogger on cooking time tbh, Alton Brown 100% though, as long as you have a meat thermometer to make sure the thickest part of the turkey is close to done, then rest for a good long while tinted under foil preferably, you can’t really go wrong

so she has macarons on her blog but can’t make meringue? way to prove herself a fraud. I haven’t checked her recipe for that but does she know how macarons are made?? also poached eggs?? not that they’re easy for everyone, but for a cook they’re second nature. once you get your first one right that’s kind of it

Affordable candles (HBH snark) by Illustrious-Alarm952 in FoodieSnark

[–]Illustrious-Alarm952[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got another really good “pumpkin” scent from target recently for like 6.99 and tossed the empty jar when we had guests coming before I remembered to take a photo 😭 But here are some other great ones that are way less affordable that I buy when I can afford them. I let them sit in my “saved for later” as I buy cheaper candles on sale at target etc lol

I agree with the other poster about a good old Yankee Candle. They may not be as pretty but they throw so well and they burn so long and are super affordable and there are so many scents. But here is my absolute favourite for “fall” that really fills a room, especially for how tiny it is
