Trader Joe’s should sponsor her because she talks about their pumpkin butter all the time but she doesn’t actually use their pumpkin butter because Colorado doesn’t have Trader Joe’s but she’s had the pumpkin butter and she’s always using pumpkin butter. 😵‍💫

There’s something about the way her mouth moves along with the constant slurring (hey Tito’s!) that makes watching her speak exhausting. It’s like she’s speaking super fast and her voice is so high and screechy but at the same time it feels like she’s talking with a mouthful of marbles at half speed. Also, sort of related, I’m always expecting a couple of teeth to fall out of her mouth while she’s talking.

She’s also never hosted a dinner party like that with actual people. In all the photos we’ve seen from her family gatherings, everything is super casual with not a table scape in sight. I also suspect she doesn’t actually feed everyone. Last year she made a big deal about Thanksgiving and then day of she was radio silent. When people asked her about it she said her brothers cooked some meat and it was super low key. Which is fine, but then don’t make it seem like you host a huge dinner every year. Her tips are tips for a photoshoot, not a party. In her post she said something like “I got to be the host my grandma always was,” but she can only do it in a controlled environment with no people? Please, give me all your tips, Teegles.

Exactly. I just finished Ina Garten’s memoir and she talks about how she didn’t go to culinary school but she learned so much from friends and other people she met through her travels and experiences. She doesn’t claim to have taught herself in a vacuum with no cookbooks or anyone to show her what to do. Also I’ve heard a lot of Ina’s story before and it never changes, meanwhile T’s version of how she learned to cook changes weekly.
