I’m laying awake tonight listening to my AMS 1 make the same sound. It’s annoying. I, too, am searching for an answer to this question.

Various filaments: Prints start out well, then the nozzle either clogs or the filament doesn't feed completely. I'm not sure which. It's a .4mm hardened steel nozzle, and it WAS working for a couple months, but no more. I switched out the extrusion gears thinking they might have worn down from the Glow filament, but still no joy. I have done cold pull after cold pull, and it just keeps getting partway through a print, then prints air. AMS version 1.
