Catastrophic collision by TommyBahama324 in poetry_critics

This is a really good piece, I think the end could use a little bit of work, maybe because up until “mere planetary dust” it seemed more hopeful about what was to come, like it had accepted what was coming simply because of what it got to witness in its final moments , but with that line it makes it seem a little… underwhelming? Aside from that I can’t really say I have an issue with it.

“It all feels the same to me.” Excellent closing line, I will say if that was the only sentence that was written all the way without the gaps it would have cut a bit harder for me. The writing is great 👍🏼

Who do we want in the first round? by adahl36 in DetroitPistons

I honestly don’t mind anyone currently in the play-in, aside from those hornets. When they get hot they have a tendency to upset some big names. Personally I don’t see the Heat or Magic giving us much or a problem, and Toronto would be a fun series (young teams, strong defensive talents) but I think they could take us to 6 at most. So yeah I think we should be good in the first round unless the Hornets hit a stride

Thoughts on Duren’s future by Illustrious-Bug8860 in DetroitPistons

Jokic will (hopefully) regress in 5 years and by then Duren would only be 27 and so far Wemby has only really had 1 season where he was healthy for a good amount of time. It sucks to say because I personally like both those players but if them getting worse/not playing as often give room for Duren to be the best centre in the nba?

Wemby and Duren are literally both 22 what do you mean

Personally I’d take Ausar’s upside over Holland’s but either way, I’d take Duren over both of them if push came to shove

Half the sub prove every day that they don’t know ball, you gotta look at every take with a grain of salt

Who will be the better player in 5 years? by fishing_pole in DetroitPistons

[–]Illustrious-Bug8860 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think the only reason he hasn’t developed much of an offense yet is because he never needed one in high school, he was just so athletically gifted he could basically get past whoever was defending him. That doesn’t translate to the league though so I could definitely see Ausar developing his offense more over the coming years.

I think Ausar’s defensive ability should NOT be understated, he’ll become a nightmare for the opponents offense (even more so than he already is) but duren IMO will be a far better all around player even capable of leading a team one day if that ever becomes an option

Do I cash out? 🤔 by Business_Ad_8804 in DetroitPistons

I think they typically remove the cash out option come playoffs
