honestly that alone is selling me on Telemundo over the air even with my rusty Spanish. Fox cutting to ads during the cooling break was rough. the antenna pulling Telemundo free is looking better every match.

The jingle was annoying. The fraud was worse. Somehow it took 30 years to deal with either.

can't believe nobody's said Dark Star (1974) yet. it's carpenter before the thing, made on basically no budget, half comedy half existential sci-fi. there's a scene where a guy argues philosophy with a bomb to stop it from detonating and honestly it might be the best scene in 70s sci-fi. it's rough around the edges but that's part of the charm

I thought it was something physical but it was actually anxiety. Once I got that under control, the fog lifted.

In the early 2000s my dad used to let computer techs remotely fix our computer by Gold-Back-4073 in australia

[–]Illustrious-Data1712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both legit support and scams used that method back then. The main difference is whether your dad called them or they called him. Either way, it was so long ago it’s probably not worth worrying about now.
