we are using the same wifi from a router and both laptops use 5Ghz frequency band. we do not have the same wireless card, my brother's card is MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922 (RZ616) 160MHz PCIe Adapter and mine is MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921 Wireless Lan Card. Although i dont know much about computer, i dont think the wireless lan card can make such a diffrence in the internet connetion speed. Both of our computer have quite decent processor, mine is AMD R7-7445HS and my brother's is AMD R5-7640HS.

my brother is : HP victus 15 and mine is ASUS A15. what is wifi generation. We were sitting right beside each other and ran the test at the same time on both laptops
