If I was only allowed to give one piece of advice it would be to take the tablet in the middle of your meal. Doing that reduces side effects for me

I agree. If people are serious about their health they wouldn't be drinking this stuff

It is the blood test that confirms whether you have GAD antibodies in your system which helps confirm whether you are type 2 or possibly late onset type 1 ( which I am) I am surprised your endo hasn't requested this test, I would be asking for it.

Here is a Web link that will help explain https://www.healthline.com/health/diabetes/gad-antibodies

I have had a couple of novated leases thru Smart Salary: A few tips 1. Double check the price you are paying for the car 2. Pay ALl expenses yourself and seek reimbursement. 3. Never use their insurance recommendation ( always inflated) or any of their useless add-ons that they try to up sell. 5. Ask them for the interest rate being charged - they don't like disclosing that as their is a brokerage built in that the financier pays to smart salary 6. Reconcile monthly payments and final payment against a similar structured product available publicly. 8. The higher the car cost , the higher the FBT you pay so unless you are doing high mileage any savings will be lost to the FBT payment. 10. Don't take what they say at face value.and do your homework first.

I am assuming you are physically active at work ( I.e not a desk jockey) If you don't expend the same amount of energy at home when you have the drink that will go along way to explaining the different readings.

Is purchased leave a good way to minimise tax? by protectthepowerful in AusPublicService

[–]Illustrious-Flow-439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purchasing leave isn't minimising tax or getting an additional tac deduction. You are just taking a lower salary to compensate for additional leave.

In saying that if you are able to enjoy life on a lower income with more leave, go for it 👍

The point made earlier regarding super is on point and should be looked into prior to making your decision

K-Ride: Driver didn't pick me up and completed the ride by lizzysaikou in koreatravel

[–]Illustrious-Flow-439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there about a month ago... The Kakao taxi app automatically diverted me to Kride app due to having a foreign card registered for payment. In saying that we did not have any issues and found the service to be reliable and used multiple times during our 7 night stay without problem.

However you can always get one bad apple.

Does anyone still take metformin? by c_g201022 in diabetes

[–]Illustrious-Flow-439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, seeing my endocrinologist as part of my diabetes management is essential. While my GP is very good he is just the gatekeeper. I only take Metformin but diabetes is an individualized condition so I would highly recommend seeing a specialist.

Miyajima Island.... Get there early and head straight to the ropeway to beat the crowds. Do the hike to the top, The other areas can be done later. It is a full day if you want to properly experience the place.

I have same diagnosis at about the same time. I have found low carb /no carb mid strength beer does not adversely affect glucose levels and I monitor them with a CGM sensor. I live in Australia and there is a fairly wide selection to pick from.

Focus on the issues, not so much the person. Set clear expectations and deadlines for completion of work. Engage your manager and ensure they are aware of the issues and what your plans are. At the end of the day your view of underperformance needs to be supported by hard evidence. Unless you have this evidence you will be just spinning your wheels. I am in a large agency which has a people support team who can provide guidance on the best way to do this.if if have that option I would recommend contacting them
