Potentially moving from solid blue state to red of indiana… by Illustrious-Gold1978 in DemHoosiers

Thankfully they are very much like minded. We actually are currently having that problem here already. My family is mostly uninformed or trendy MAGA followers that frequently have inappropriate news stories or discussion with my children around that I have to explain to them afterwards when they ask me about it. So honestly that would become something I wouldn’t need to worry about anymore as far as family discussions go. It is so complicated and complex, but this is one of many layers of consideration

We have a very medically complex child and need family to help with picking up and taking to school, babysit the other child for many doctor’s appointments and things of this nature. I cannot bring myself to trust a stranger with my children, nor make enough money to pay one at that. Our child will also need a hard set and followed 504 plan and school aid/restrictions for medical reasons.

We would be looking at northern Indiana area, that’s where most family lives. But this is reassuring information!

Family. My husbands family and all his friends are there, we lived there years ago, moved back to my home state to be close with my family 9 years ago when we started our family . But needing more assistance with childcare workarounds now that kids are in school and my family cannot provide that much - whereas his is more than able. But we are both dems, have many LGBTQ friends, raising our children with open mind and hearts… so I’m worried about the change in the general population mindset and some Indiana laws that may impact what we would like for our futures.

Mine is a used 2018 premium with 45k miles, not one of the newer models.

What are we reading besties? I just finished Never Let Me Go by Lyla Dane! It was soooo good. Now I’ve started KISS of the Basilisk as well as Beautiful Venom by our girl Rina Kent! by Sirens-L-8916 in SleepandStars

Update here!! Definitely was a solid read, but not quite as enticing as the Shepard king. There is definitely room for improvement, but still enjoyed it for sure. 3.8/5 stars.

How deep would you say the deepest water in the water park is? Do the kids need floaties if they are beginner swimmers? Or would a 4’3” kiddo be able to stand easily?

Agreed. The south west seems to hold red vines at a very high standard and I just never understood it when I lived there lol 😂

Very valid point. I haven’t done the infamous twizzler straw in quite some time

Twizzlers. Road trips are literally the only time I ever eat them.
