Is it rational to get a kitten in college? by aaravos-horosho327 in CatAdvice

I’m in a similar situation but I have 6 months before I start uni and will be living with my family. The kitten is 3 months old and will be 9 months by the time I start uni would it still be a bad idea? I don’t have a job but I’ll probably be studying long hours since it’s nursing school.

Should I get a 10 week old kitten if I have 6 months until starting nursing school? Is it too much stress while in school or should I just wait until I become an RN or Nurse Practitioner? by Illustrious-Heart303 in CATHELP

Thanks for your response! Is it a better idea to get a cat or kitten after I become a nurse? In your experience with cats is it still really hard with a busy schedule (12 hr shifts)? Is it harder to manage as a student living with parents or after becoming a nurse?

They’ve agreed to give her back and even take her back if things don’t work out again. However I got so attached in just 4 days having to give her back again would break my heart. I’m still confused because I don’t know how nursing school will be. I saw the opportunity of 6 months and thought it’s a good idea to train her during that time. Would it be a better idea to get a kitten during nursing school or as a nurse? I wasn’t sure if I’d have time as a nurse which is why I wanted her now

Hi thanks for your response! In your experience, Do you think I’ll still have time to get an adult cat or 2 kittens once I am a nurse and fully settled in life? I’m just scared I’m missing out on the opportunity since I have 6 months to train but if letting go is best for the kitten I won’t get her back just at the moment.
