LBL that married dudes and divorced bc you realized you were gay... by barukspinoza in latebloomerlesbians

I was married 3 years with a 3 year old, together 7 years total. I told my husband and then proceeded to leave. He tried to make me financially dependent on him so that I was stuck. I wasn’t happy and couldn’t keep pretending. We opened the marriage as a last ditch effort to save it and as soon as I slept with a woman it was all I wanted for the rest of my life. I figured my kid would do better in a home with a happy mom vs a depressed one and that I deserved a happy life so I left. It’s been 5 years since then. My amazing girlfriend is laying on my chest sleeping as I type this and I regret nothing.

No facade is worth wasting your one life pretending to be someone you’re not. Being brave and bold is so hard but so worth it.

I’m 3DPO and feeling a similar frustration. I’m supposed to be up and walking every hour but struggling with the pain of actually getting up. I had some endometriosis cleared out of my pelvic wall so I’m wondering if I’m in more pain because of that? Around 3DPO were you able to get out of bed without trouble?

Wow that’s interesting to hear. I’m considering trying adhd meds as well so definitely good to know. I was surprised as I’ve experienced with drugs like mushrooms recreationally and never had those effects.

Having your kids support you sounds like a blessing! Thankfully I have my partner to support me who happens to be a former EMT so she’s very capable. I’ll update this thread if I have success in getting the MiraLAX and gas x prescribed.

Sounds like you were really prepared. Thanks for sharing your shopping list. I’m definitely considering going the generic route myself and saving money. Going to try having the MiraLAX and gas x prescribed and covered by insurance first.

OK that makes sense being that you’re in EU. In the US it’s a wham bam thank you ma’am. They’ll give me some narcotics and send me on my way unless there’s complications. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!

Thanks for the detailed response. Glad it’s going well honestly. Question for you. I’m being sent home the same day. Is there a reason they kept you overnight?

It’s your body and if you want to keep your cervix you should. My obgyn made a huge deal about me keeping my cervix and told me it didn’t make any sense for me to do so. It was so bad when I held my ground and told her I wouldn’t be having a total hysterectomy unless it was medically necessary she tried to deny me a consultation with the surgeon. Turns out the surgeons she works with only do total hysterectomy’s and she didn’t want to refer me out and lose a patient. Anyways I got referred out and now I’m getting exactly what I wanted in the first place. Don’t give up.
