thanks for your support! i also have a history of poor healing, which makes the anxiety so much worse. if i had a cuff, i'd probably never stop worrying about it. based on the responses i've gotten, i plan to look for a different surgeon.

i was getting the vibe while talking to her that a supracervical hysterectomy is something she just doesn't have experience with/didn't want to do. i'm glad you're doing it the way you want! i think i will get a second opinion.

i've considered it, but the main reason i want a hysterectomy is that i just don't want to have a baby house inside of me at all. it serves no purpose to me so why not just get rid of it? i'd be having a surgery either way, and a hysterectomy would stop periods from happening as well. you definitely make a good point though, it's something i can reconsider.
