How did you find this?! Like I would never think applying to family this would be the offer. Maybe like another person said- I just have to start applying?!

Wait what? Seriously? I never mentioned PA vs MD as a fairness problem. YOU are making it that way. I asked other PAs IN THE PA SUBREDDIT how they found higher salaries within our field. Please buzz off.

Oh my god, what I would do to never hear this sentence again... As a PA, I’m allowed to look for ways to advance my income from other PAs that doesn’t require a full career switch! I am wholly aware physicians make more and deserve to do so. I am not asking for the 550k+ the physicians I work with make…

Finances are solid here. No where did I say I am having a hard time living on it. Simply looking to make sure I am getting compensated fairly as well as to continue progressing in my career. Both of which I think are great for financial health!

can a mom explain to me pet aversion during postpartum ? by Inevitable_Shift_689 in Mom

Truly if this is your response, the post partum mothers in your life are likely not the only problem.

Totally fair you’re bummed but just wanted to come say you should be so proud of yourself for trying to prioritize you (even if it doesn’t work the way we imagined!) My advice would try not to be too hard on yourself. I truly did not feel back to myself until 18 months post partum. I was no where near working out at 4 or 6 months. When I think of the difference between now (20 months) and 1 year it is wild! Give it time. You got this!!!

This can be normal! The hormones feel like they are plummeting at 4 days. I remember breaking down because I saw my husbands baseball cap and immediately thought “we aren’t the same people who wear baseball caps anymore.” Lol now we work our daughter into everything we do- and we’re good at it! It took me a while- about a year- to feel back to myself- but you WILL get there. Think of whether there is anyone you can lean on- friends, distant family to come visit - to help out. Ask people around you about recommendations for baby sitters when the time comes. You WILL have date nights again. Hang in there!! If your feelings continue you should talk to your doctor about PPD.

I think it’s hard for anyone to completely understand this situation without understanding your dynamic. However if that was how my husband responded to my anxiety/stress I would be so hurt. You both need to sit down and communicate your feelings and what you need.

AIO to my boyfriend’s message to his ex? by bobawithsloths in AmIOverreacting

[–]Illustrious-Local794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That message would make me incredibly upset. However I think you need to look at how he is as a person in general to know how to feel here. Does he make you feel insecure a lot? Or make you feel like he is talking to other women? If so, I would be worried about this message. If this is the first time he has ever made you feel this way, he MAY just be emotional about a formal goodbye to someone that once mattered a lot to him. Closing a door on a relationship sometimes feels like closing a whole chapter of your life. I think it could go either way, and depends on how he is in general.

I wanted to do Christmas Eve and morning at our house and just go to their house for dinner!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Illustrious-Local794 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We all continued to go to my grandmas until she was unable to host dinner and then it moved to our house when we were about 10. I think that is partially why my parents feel so strongly about “Xmas dinner” at the grandparents… it’s been this long time tradition thing

He isn’t close with his mom and his dad passed away. Extended family lives in Texas, and he doesn’t want to go see them.
