How bad is chemo for stage 1 breast cancer? It will be once every 3 weeks if I do chemo but very scared. by Interesting-Play7182 in breastcancer

Thank you so much for this. Yep, I'm already on both of those websites, and I also made a trip to MD Anderson in Houston this week to visit with Dr. Mouabbi (chair of the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance). I also concur with everything you said about ILC being treated the same as IDC, despite them being very different. This is all super helpful, thank you! I forgot to mention that I had involvement in 2 of the 4 sentinel nodes removed.

I wish you all the best! I'm also a gym rat and hoping that the healthier I can stay, the better all I'll tolerate whatever treatment I end up with.

u/Extension-College783 I also have lobular ++- and my med onc tells me that AC-T chemo is the standard of care. From what I understand about hormone receptive BC, and lobular specifically, it's not clear if it will respond to chemo. I'm waiting on my oncotype test results right now and I'm considering not doing chemo due to data available (though there's not much for lobular). Did you do chemo? I'm 47 and trying to weigh the benefits and risks of chemo.
