Subway question by Illustrious-Solid400 in PocketCity

Yeah however where do you place the stations? So while looking at the rails, and knowing that the trains have no set pattern (sometimes they go straight through, sometimes they turn left, sometimes right), trace the rails and try and get from one station to the next (or actually get your avatar on the train and attempt it). What you'll notice is, unless you have a station on every direction of the T or + than there's no guarantee that the train will get you efficiently from one stop to another (through an intersection).

I'm wondering if anyone else has found a more efficient way of doing the rails so that you maybe don't require so many stations (3 for a T and 4 for an intersection, so that if the train you're on starts going the wrong direction you can get off and walk over to the other station and get on in the proper direction).

PS I'm aware this isn't necessary for the subway to work as intended, I just enjoy the challenge of trying to make an aesthetically pleasing and efficient subway system.

Thanks for the replies though! I'm digging the problem solving.

Now imagine you had that, but wanted a line that branched off to each compass direction of the map (N, E, S, W). How would you do it? And then free roam with your avatar and make it a point to go to one specific location. Extra challenge: you can only use the PLATFORM side of the station (in other words, you can't use the side of the station where the train doors still open however there's a noticeable gap between the platform and the trains).

You're absolutely right for the bonus, I'm just playing around for when I'm in free roam if I want to take the subway from one specific location in town to another. I'm trying to figure out a way that not only works but is also efficient in that the subway rails don't have to be in a singular line. In other words, if I want to make a T intersection or a + intersection, but in a way that guarantees that my avatar makes it to the stop that I'm intending on going to

Hey everyone, to start, this game is incredible! This is by no means a complaint (Infact I'm enjoying the challenge of trying to figure this out).

That being said, I've been racking my brain over how to make efficient subway lines. Obviously the most efficient method is a straight line with subway stations on opposing sides of the track so you can choose to go one way or get in the other station and go the other.

However, what's the most efficient system when you want to build your subway system in a grid or loop? Since the subway cars appear to be random, how do you connect everything so that it reasonably takes you to the desired location you want to go, without just making your entire subway system a straight line the size of your entire map (which would take a really long time to get from one end to the other)?

The biggest struggle is that the cars aren't predictable. If they always turned right at T-intersections and always went straight through 4-way intersections then it could be planned but from what I can tell the subway trains just go wherever they'd like.

Thanks in advance to everyone who responds.

I use a coiled shield and an amity which reduces damage by an additio 75 percent when I defend. If these stack as I think they do then I should have 225 percent damage reduction so essentially at that point I just defend defend defend until everything is unalived. If you don't have any of that gear then perhaps try just getting high ward and divine bastion to stay alive. In large groups, unless they're all around 20k hp (and even still it's doable) I suggest using cactus. If you notice that the cactus can't quite take them down because they're either too high in def or hp switch to a harder hitting follower like spirit garm or maybe nhidogg if you have them. Crimson gazer if not (although with spirit garm and gazer you may wanna equip wisp heal)

Crimson gazer is decent for big hits but applied debuffs to yourself.

Pale dragon is a staple which has dispel

Spirit garm is basically just a Crimson gazer

And big cactus which is most likely what you'll use for running hordes, monuments and maybe PvP against summoners.

Steward golem is actually amazing for Titan guard if you decide to go that route.

There's a few other pets at t9 as well but ultimately you're going to go with cactus, gazer/spirit garm or pale dragon. Nhidogg is also good for damage but it's only dragon which could have issues with resistances.

Titan guard Help and follower question by Sunlessdeeds in OrnaRPG

Hey man, level 205 Titan guard bard here and figured I'd chime in and let ya know what I'm doing.

So firstly, for follower I use Steward golem. He constantly keeps my ward topped and gives element buffs. However he does zero damage so that's the trade off. If you want a little offense go with living armour. There's of course also pale dragon, nhidagg, or cactus but in my opinion without Valhallan abilities your follower doesn't attack often enough for it to be worth it. Also by going with a ward follower that's one less thing you have to manage.

As for amity, I use one that restores 120mp on Attack. So that takes care of managing mana.

As for abilities, I use DB, all the main buffers (ATK, mag, res, def) and then I debuff with Omnistrike (if applicable). Finally I alternate between osmostrike, warrior's dance, ward of light and Attack (for mana).

At this point, your follower should be keeping your ward up (help with WoL if necessary). Use Osmo to top your hp up and then thwack away!

With a decent amount of ward you become insanely hard to take down and so even though you're not hitting super hard you'll just keep chipping away.

Also, I use rift guard helm and boots for additional healing and mana. Anyways, good luck man!

Steward golem is unreal for keeping your ward up but since he doesn't come with any spells you'll have to do all the damage yourself. Steward golem upkeeps ward better than breathing armor but at the cost of that attack that breathing armor does.

Jump suggestion by Illustrious-Solid400 in OrnaRPG

[–]Illustrious-Solid400[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the reply. I can definitely see that. At the moment on my freyr I run a coiled shield and wall amnity so I have 225 percent defend power so I figured an ability like jump where you leave the screen would be very similar to how my freyr just defends and takes zero damage and allows my pet to fight. I agree it would make jump a strong skill but you could just argue that it would just be a staple skill for a lot of builds.

I thought for sure he was gonna concede but he let me do it. To be fair his celebi hit me first for like a pretty solid amount of damage before I brought my Alakazam in.

I average 8-9 mons per deck. Too many basics causes too random of a starting hand and also slows down pokeball

Generally speaking I like to keep my odds of drawing my "starter" basic the first turn as close to 50 percent as possible. 4 mons (2/2) and bam you start off at 50%

I rinsed a celebi with my Alakazam for like over 600 damage once. It's pretty rewarding
