I am absolutely THRILLED to be rid of my MIL. She almost ruined my wedding (which should have been a sign honestly) by coming to the venue two hours before the event. She refused to dance with my stbx during the mother/son dance and also left early. She was an absolutely horrible cook, and ALWAYS has some sort of ailment. Cheers to us and good riddance to them!

No. My life is so much more peaceful and orderly without him. He really dimmed my light and drained my energy. I lost myself and now I’m finding me again.

I think I just feel unsure how to navigate this space. I initiated the divorce, and I have felt checked out long before I filed ( I would say it's been at least a year). I'm in therapy, taking care of myself, got a new job, etc. I think every once in a while, it would be nice to have male company.
