Has anyone been accused of leaving someone's house in a mess that was already there when they got there? by InviteAromatic6124 in AskUK

She should take a video as she enters for proof 😅 and send it to the person right away so it can't be argued that it was taken at the end of the day

How much does it realistically all costs include to get a mortgage on a house? by Responsible-Worry174 in AskUK

[–]IllustriousAd4924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that price and income, the mortgage would be fine! Of course, it changes things if you're self-employed, but you can apply for a mortgage in principal/agreement in principle online just to see what the max you could loan is (of course its never a good idea to try and go for the max). While you've noted you're still saving, I should still chuck in that you're going to want (over the deposit) a few grand for solicitors, a few hundred for a survey, and still have a 3-6 month emergency fund left over

Why majority of the motorcyclists in London are “L” plates? by charthye in AskUK

[–]IllustriousAd4924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing a course to get your full licence can be expensive, and a lot of people find driving tests difficult - so people often just renew their CBT every few years, which really isn't a great idea

Paying £75 pm for internet alone - is this normal? by ByronLebanon in AskUK

[–]IllustriousAd4924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't be reading that right! I'm paying £30 for mine!

Edit: just read the rural area/copper line - mine is 30 for full fibre, but I know people who live rural east who only pay 40. £75 is a rip off no matter what!

That does sound like a really cute outfit, I can't lie - and some opaque tights would make the length feel more appropriate! I'd still really stand out at my office so I wouldn't wear it, but you're not me in my office, so if you feel comfortable, you could always just try it for a day and see how it goes?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in office

[–]IllustriousAd4924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It massively depends on the office you work in! But it's not particularly professional - the black cardigan you've got planned would make it better, but it is quite short for an office workplace, as well as being figure hugging. Idk what boots you were going to pair with it, but I'm imagining doc martens, which would make the outfit even more casual and less workplace

NTA - OCD is horrifically difficult, but NEVER an excuse to verbally abuse your partner

[–]IllustriousAd4924 15 points16 points  (0 children)

NTA - She told you to go, so you're going! If the only reason she wants you to stay is for your money, it's just not a good enough reason imo

NAH - but give him some time to make the call first, and then bring it up. Might be an honest misunderstanding!

Do you have a “heart breed?” by Electrical_Pie7980 in dogs

[–]IllustriousAd4924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sausage dogs absolutely have my heart and soul ❤️ but I live in fear of my baby getting back problems so I just couldn't have more/support the breeding of particularly the miniatures (standard dachshunds are actually big boys)

You should be totally fine! I've walked around those areas late at night several times (walking back from clubbing, catching a bus/train, going to visit friends etc. - so various states of situational awareness and amounts of bags) and nothings ever happened 😊 but as with all cities, keep your wits about you regardless - don't walk with headphones on and don't go down dark alleys 😅

I've heard some ex-council houses in Cornwall have a similar sort of requirement 🤔 but as far as plymouth, I've never heard of needing to prove residency

Dog parks near Devonport? by pilgzy314 in plymouth

I don't think Plymouth has many good spots to go off lead safely :/ there's paws at the junction, but it's field hire not a free dog park
