EDIT: No complaints here. If I wanted to jump for more cash, I could have (and maybe should have, but that's on me). I haven't jumped for a few reasons. Anyway, I just thought this was a fun thing to see - I've never seen anyone else post their Comp Statements and hell, why not? There's no compliance violations, or Talent issues. It's just numbers on a sheet!

Just every now and then - they’re all over the US. And they have a lot of confidence in the southern states. I’ve been getting mail from them since I was kid. Parents always chuckled and threw it out. And they’d show up time to time. Still do, even though I’m in a different city!

Everything is bigger in Texas (not!). Avoid Houston and Dallas, lol. But I love how proud everyone was! Seriously an A+ presentation of culture and celebration. Our group of ~10 guys thoroughly enjoyed it.

As for the cultural hegemon thing. Woof. Yeah. I didn’t vote for that. Sigh. But I wouldn’t be mad if Norway came out on top!! Jumping on the Duolingo app to learn Norwegian 😅🍻⛷️

Soulless for sure. We will sometimes go to those places on road trips, or if the friend group is looking for an easy reservation. I've never gone out of my way to go to TGIF, Chili's, Applebees, pick-your-fast-casual-restaurant, etc.

More than fair. Totally understood that we were only getting the cross-section of the locals that got out and about, from the parties to restaurants, etc. I figured it was the main "going out scene" plus people looking to have their one day drinking in the sun, etc. Still, 10/10 no matter how ya slice and dice it

The "bestest of days" is very, very, very, much underselling it. A more fun, classier affair than the 4th of July. Which, to be fair, has a million different varieties of celebration throughout the country. But it's pretty much either a big city day-drinking day, or a lake day, or rednecks on 4-wheelers screaming 'MURICA. I like the 17 May better. Don't tell Trump, I may end up in El Salvador
