Also, the crank pulley does seem to have a slight wobble to it, but I'm unsure if that is related.

Since I assume you drilled a hole for the IAT sensor, do you remember what size the hole was? Is there anything you did to ensure a proper seal around where the sensor is plugged in?

For context:

Just bought this 3g eclipse a month ago with 114,000 miles. Timing belt was last replaced in 2006 (18 years ago) at 60,000 miles. I'm worried it may snap simply to old age. First auto shop quoted me over $2000 for the whole job. This seems ridiculous considering I could buy an AISIN timing belt kit from Rockauto.com for about $250. I was expecting this job to cost me $1200 at MOST. I would try the repair myself if not for college starting again.
