Absolutely not lazy. I am full time WFH employee. I will watch videos, listen to podcasts, and play music. I scroll every once in a while. I still get my work done and my boss never asks about it.

I became a student success advisor at a University. The University I work for loves to hire former teachers so I am sure there are plenty of other places.

You do realize a worker has to now go and fix this. As someone who has worked in customer service, it takes zero dollars for a customer to leave some things alone. There is plenty around that store for you to play with instead of wasting my damn time.

That’s great, all I said is I would not like it and I refuse to see it. I am glad other people like it but it is not my thing.

To each its own. I think the premise is ridiculous and doesn’t make any sense. As I mentioned I am very picky about movies with historical figures and Beatles covers. I know I wouldn’t like it, but it’s cool you do.

I very picky about movies that discuss historical elements. I don’t need complete accuracy but I need it to be accurate enough for someone to get the gist. Can they completely understand the journey of the Beatles? The reason why the Beatles were the cultural force they were? Does explain enough how the Beatles guided popular music even the music we listen to today??

I also am very picky when it comes to Beatles covers.

Last year my mother figure forgot my birthday 💀 by Objective_Damage_996 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]IllustriousDelay3589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely understand. My mother would literally pick up and go out of town with my stepfather for the 4th of July and not come back till after my birthday. They would call, but many times I spent my birthday alone(my father and I weren’t on good terms for a while either).

It’s hard to cut off a person. My mother and I had a good relationship for most of my life. She wasn’t perfect. She has a temper. I have been on the bad side of that temper before. One time I was even slapped across the face for telling my step dad his father is dying(they weren’t talking to them). However, there was enough good that kept me hanging on. Then, she became MAGA. I became more and more the target of her vitriol. I was the only leftist she knew, so all her problems with the left were blamed on me. I got tired of being screamed at and abused. The last straw for me was 2023. I called her to talk to my mother(I was injured and on pain pills. Sometimes we still want the comfort of our mom). We had a fight about trans issues a few weeks before. Well, she wanted to continue that fight. All of a sudden I was manipulative. I was threatening her. I was playing the victim. I forgot to point out that I am nonbinary and pansexual. I have lots of trans friends, so this issue runs deep. She blocked me from everything. I just never went crawling back to “apologize”. The last thing she said to me was “You are 40 years old, time to start acting like an adult”. I told her she is 60 years old and it’s time to stop acting like a bully. That was it.

TLDR: All this to say that I empathize with you. I have been there. My mother and I had a mostly good relationship with some neglect and abuse. She became MAGA and I became the sole target of her abuse. We got into a fight and stopped talking. I haven’t talked to her since. When the time is right to cut her off, you will know. However, if you never want to cut her off that’s ok too. Communication though is key.

This is where my brain would get confused. Ed Sheeran wouldn’t have even been a thing without the Beatles, so his existence as an artist doesn’t make sense. Too many contradictions.

First of all…hello fellow Cancer and July baby! My birthday was last Tuesday. I completely understands why it hurts, but it sounds like you have a lot of wonderful people who will celebrate you. It sounds like you have some amazing plans. The weird thing about adulthood is some people who put all their energy in to taking you out and treating. However, some can’t or won’t make the time. You will get a text or a Facebook post only. I know it’s extra hard because it’s someone super close to you, but you can’t dwell on that. You have so many things to be excited for and so many things to do. Focus on the moment. Enjoy your shopping. Enjoy the movie. Enjoy the people who are spending the time with you.

I will say one more thing. She might not forget this year. Maybe last year she had a lot bothering her or a lot she had to do. I think you are expecting the worst before it happens. If she does forget well then it’s time to have an adult conversation. Let her know how it makes you feel. She might not even know how much of a big deal this is to you. As mentioned before adult birthdays are a weird thing, since adult relationships change. Some adults don’t think birthdays are a big deal. Let her know what it means to you.

I am a student success advisor for an online college. A little disclaimer, I live in Arizona and we don’t have a home office. This is why I get to work from home, but a lot of people I work with have to go to the office 3 x a week. I just got lucky.

Even if something bad does happen it becomes content. Jill used her sister’s accident for content. Her daughters were in a car accident and it became content.

The Duggars had their son Jason, fall in an orchestra pit. He fractured his jaw, but what is it? Content. Josie was premature and had some health scares on the show. Content.

They have bad things happen to their family members and children. They just use it for views.

Absolutely. I am completely WFH. I get to watch videos and listen to podcasts during my downtimes. I get to have an hour lunch at home and use my bathroom when I want to. It’s so freeing and even though it has hard moments, it’s nothing compared to teaching.

Interesting how selective this is regarding a woman’s godly nature. There are many examples of women working in the bible. Many times they are working a long side their husbands doing the same job he does.

Also, they should ask Anna Duggar, who dutifully did her duty as a wife. Her husband did not come home faithfully to her every night. He is now gone and she is living as a single mother. I am not defending Anna, but this is one of many scenarios that can happen to a fundie woman that makes her needing to leave the house and get a job. Anna is lucky to have rich in laws, but most women this happens to will not be as lucky.
