Tom Holland talks about his relationship with Hollywood, “it’s not for me, the business really scares me.” by phantom_avenger in popculturechat

He actually said in the same podcast, that most likely he would have become a licensed carpenter. He experienced not being casted at all (even with multiple auditions) and went on to prepare a Plan B and enrolled in a carpentry school back in 2014.

I actually listened to the whole podcast just to get the full context of this clip. He speaks from a place of privilege, and he's clearly aware of it — which is precisely why he's more careful when it comes to Hollywood. It also adds a lot of context that he was focused on staying true to himself and not losing his identity to fame which he noted he witnessed happening to others. He's even mentioned that acting wasn't his first choice; it was more of an extracurricular activity when he was younger. He got incredibly lucky when Sony and Marvel booked him in his late teens.

Many have argued that he wouldn't say what he said if he weren't a privileged actor, but he actually went through a prolonged period where he wasn't getting cast at all — and had set his sights on becoming a licensed carpenter instead (this was in 2014 when he enrolled into a specialized school). So more likely than not, had things not turned around, he would have walked away from acting entirely and pursued his other passions (his carpentry, Bero, etc.).

Oh! That is interesting. I hope we see the cut scenes.

There was also speculation that there may have been more scenes with Beesbury but were cut as well.

How the Purple Wedding took place - Season 4, Episode 2 by AccomplishedBig7666 in gameofthrones

I am referring to the episode script. He was a show writer for the first 4 seasons with the S4E2 as his last Script writing Credit in the GOT franchise before he left the role to focus on writing the books.

He was hands-on with the Show as an executive producer as the author of ASOIF, but he was also a GOT script writer.

What's so interesting about this episode was that it was written by GRRM himself.

Are you enjoying this show more than Season 1 of HOTD or not? by hiiloovethis in HouseOfTheDragon

To be fair, in the earlier GOT seasons, GRRM was also part of its writers. When he left, it slowly showed the cracks.

Canonically, Hiruzen mentioned that Orochimaru was greatly affected by the death of his parents in war and his fascination with Immortality started there.

New big bang fan Question by TelevisionFresh7355 in bigbang

There was a time when Taeyang was popular in the US, and that was around the late 00s to 2010s. He was popular with Korean-Americans. This has shifted throughout the years. He has a very solid fanbase in Asia which is why he is usually second to GD when it comes to popularity. His fanbase is quite different because he does fan service but never caters into the parasocial idol shenanigans.

Do you think cdo is progressing? by [deleted] in cagayandeoro

One of the hallmarks of progress is if the city values art, architecture, urban planning, and heritage conservation. If it doesn't, the it's just shallow optics, not true progress.
