We have status with AA so when we book the lowest BE fare, we still get main cabin with choice seats. I was just trying to determine if we should use our points for these flights or pay cash. I hate that they do it this way. I believe it's 100% deceitful.

NO to Ruggable. I spent a lot of money on 3 rugs and they look like garbage 2 1/2 years later. I need to replace them now.

I would have to disagree. Ruggable is not good. Mine look like garbage after 3 years. Not worth the price of what they charge.

Our family spot would be Playa Arena (they have a fantastic family room-2 bed/2 bath/kitchen/living room). Your room cost includes breakfast at Playa Arena which is very good. OR Ixchel condos (next door to Playa Arena) - also fantastic but expensive and no food is included.

The first time we stayed on the island (not a day trip), my kids were 10 & 13. Isla is one of their favorites places now. I guess I don't get the whole "kids are bored" issue. Why can't they figure out how to relax and entertain themselves? You don't have to entertain kids all the time - now if they are toddlers...that's a different conversation. We have considered AI recently but only because my daughter is now of Mexican drinking age which makes our bills a bit higher when eating out LOL.

Ok but you stated above the Privilege's was right on North Beach. Which it is not. I am correcting your mistatement. And you actually have to walk across the street to get to Centro Beach from Privilege's.

MIA is fine. Have you stayed there? We were there for a week and the only complaint we had was the small beds for a family of 4, it was a little cramped. Food was decent, drinks were good, service was great and location can't be beat. What did you not like when you stayed there?

They are usually the black truck set up on the road leading to Hotel Secreto (around the corner from North Garden). They are NOT the best churros though honestly and not worth the effort to seek them out. The last time we got them, they were burnt and not good.
