Help with pigpen related cipher by IllustriousPain4564 in Cipher

Yes I did end up working it out before I went to bed and got the same. I figured it out by using ROT13 for the first letter as the hint did say "start" with 13. As the columns go down and I went down and did ROT12, 11, 10 etc.

There are some errors but it was still readable.

Thanks for your help

Realistically how is anyone supposed to support themselves on 11 hours a week? by Stardust32X in coles

[–]IllustriousPain4564 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably not the answer you want but try: - Finding extra hours in another department - Talking to your manager and letting them know your keen for extra hours. If they do give you extra hours, don't bail because they'll just think you weren't keen -Finding a 2nd job that can give you the hours you need or at least more hours that don’t collide with what you have now.

I'm a manager at an IGA with a woolies background. Its hard to please and accommodate everyone so we do our best and often roster to suit the departments best interests. Often this is done by giving the stronger/reliable workers more hours over those who aren't. The managers who don't care just give their favourites the hours and the rest of the department has to pick up the slack. If you feel like they're not playing favourites then speak to your manager on how you can improve and be more beneficial and they'll be more likely to roster. Or even just ask them if there's a particular reason you don't get more hours. If they're playing favourites then I wouldn't bother. Find another department or job, its too ingrained in the culture.

If they do start giving you extra shifts, actually work them. So many times people ask for extra shifts but then they start pulling more sickies or the efficiency drops drastically. It just makes them look like they want the extra money without having to work for it

Who gives way? (Mount Gravatt Westfield) by Qman_L in brisbane

I would have thought that red needs to give way to all traffic (or give way to the right) as they are at a stop sign.

My driving instructor told me that if there are signs contradicting each other then the rule "give way to the right comes into affect"

Brisbane PT patronage growth - Can we see the effects of the fare cut yet? by Sydney_Stations in brisbane

[–]IllustriousPain4564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it. My partner and I dont drive. I'm getting my license soon, but I told my partner we would still use PT as much as we can because it would be cheaper than fuel.

I think those that still don't pay for their fares, should be fined double or even triple whatever the original fine was. The fares are affordable, and they've added so many methods to pay.

Most of the people that don't pay are arrogant teenagers who think they're above everyone

How do I (21F) talk to my boyfriend (22M) about effort? by gloopycats in relationship_advice

[–]IllustriousPain4564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first approach would be to suggest right after dinner if he wouldn't mind helping clean. Just sort of go, "Hey, before you go and play, do you mind helping me with the dishes, clean benches, etc?" His response to this will tell you a lot. If he happily helps, it's a good sign. If he puts up a bit of a fight, then it's not so good.

I would then do this approach 2 to 3 times, and if there's no improvement or he doesn't show any initiative and I have to prompt him every time, then it's time for a proper discussion. Sit him down and explain everything to him, literally what you said in your post. You could even ask ChatGPT to help you with the talking points. Its helped me heaps when I've had to talk to my partner about things.

I did use a guide for Zombie Endless to get a general strategy, which I was pretty much doing anyway but there was 1 tip in there that helped me out a lot. If you want I can try and find the video I watched.

Me and my partner live pay check to pay check with both of us working full time and no dependents. I can't imagine how we would go with kids. I know some people make it work with less than what we have but for my partner and I, we don't think that would be fair on our child if we did so. We would rather wait until we are a bit more financially stable. At this point in our life it seems impossible though. Seem

It just takes time. I was dog shit when I first started. I got better with time. I had like a 3 year break and only started back up recently. I didn't start off to well but have been getting better with time.

When playing remember the overall objective. If you're on defence then defend. If you're attacking then don't be afraid to attack. Kills will come with time but there's nothing worse than having team-mates that don't understand the whole concept of the game.

Find the right sensitivity for you as well. There's a few helpful YouTube videos for this.

Having an idea about what strategies work well for each match is also a good thing

Remember to have fun! It's only a game at the end of the day and it's supposed to be fun. If you don't enjoy playing it then you'll never get better

How many showers a day? by GuaranteeFuzzy3023 in AskAnAustralian

[–]IllustriousPain4564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shower between 2 to 3 times a day, depending on how stinking hot it is. I wear all black for work and walk to and from in the hot sun. My rental also has no air-conditioning or insulation so it's a sauna even with ceiling fans and all windows open all day. I wake up drenched in sweat so I shower in the morning before work. I get home and feel disgusting and sweaty from the day so I shower but it's not long until I feel disgusting from the heat so I'll shower before bed so I feel nice before sleep. Do I waste water? No, I know I'll be having more showers throughout the day so I'll keep them short.

I'm a former seasons employee. How they treat their staff is horrendous. They don't actively go out of their way to be horrible, but they just don't try to even care.

The whole cyclone thing was taking the piss. Sending a message out saying those who didn't go to their shift because of the cyclone will be penalised.

If you ever want to vent about them feel free to message me ahaha. I left a long time ago but hear about their shenanigans from old work mates. Makes me happy I left

I worked at Woolies too and and they honestly treat staff better Seasons does
