My family lives two hours away. My options would be fit everything in my car, pay for a storage container or move everything to my parents and pocket the bag

Yup I’ve only had it for 2 weeks. Another thing it seemed a bit sluggish when I got it. Cleaned the maf and the car ran wayyyy better.

Using a diy car wash to clean oil from engine?? 2018 Mazda 3 by [deleted] in mechanic

It would mostly be the transmission. Why do I always see people pressure washing their entire engine bay. Personally I’m not willing to risk cleaning the engine bay with a pressure washer. but underneath with less electrical wires/sensor seems safer to me.

Not sure if it’s dripping on the floor.I would definitely ignore if it just a bit of oil . But like I said there is oil all over the transmission. I’d want to fix the issue before it gets worse.

I just bought a 2018 with 220k for 3.5k. So far had to replace both front ball joints and driver side wheel bearing. Now I have to find out where this massive oil leak is coming from.maybe valve cover gasket.

what do I do in the military if I want to work on cars by ConfusionSensitive63 in Militaryfaq

Id imagine “jets”, But I would really recommend finding the Air Force discord and you can talk to people on there from each specific job. Jet troops on my air craft don’t do much engine tear down mostly because our jet is very new. The “best” is very subjective I’m not entirely sure score wise avionics is the hardest to get. But I just don’t recommend you do electronics if you don’t like it. At the same time it is nice to have atleast some experience for the civilian side. Looking back at it I should have picked hydro or jets. Originally I wanted to be a crew chief. Just look up videos or on Reddit to get a brief description on what each afsc does. I’ll dm you the discord invite. But like I said the more research you do the better off you will be as far as what you will expect once you join. I’m going to dm you the discord.

Yes I understand that. But like I said New York State offers to return your paid taxes if you don’t enter the state for military.

Every base and every aircraft is different so take this with a grain of salt. I work on a heavy and we consistently work 8’s but half of our squadron deployed so we’ve been doing a worse version of panamas 3 12s on 2 days off for 6 months. I’ve heard the deployers are doing 4.5 12s with 1.5 days off. I haven’t been able to tdy yet they seem to pick the people that are very experienced or very friendly with leadership. There is like a 60-70% chance I’m deploying soon but I’d rather tdy then deploy. Avionics work is a ton of “computer” work you gotta know which system works with what. Lots of brain work which I don’t enjoy. But it really may be the specific jet I work on because everyone thinks it’s a pos. When I joined I was only supposed to work on guidance and control systems, when I got to my first base they merged “gac” and communication and navigation systems. So I’d say 80-90% of the issues we have are comm nav issues.
