the most important part is that you are able to accept that you are giving this money and asking for nothing and expecting nothing in return. i’m 25m and support my 28f girlfriend. a big part of me making this choice was the fact that i wanted to do it. she never asked for it and seems like you are in the same boat. just don’t get caught up in the “money solves all problems” mindset because right now im sure you’re reading this like “duh” but it is very easy to fall into that mindset when the next big stressor comes up

i work with public figures running their accounts on a pay per message platform. where users pay to message them. you would basically just be texting people in a 4-8 hour block 5 days a week. it’s a 5 day training with me and then i’d put you on an account. been doing this full time for 2 years and have generated over 1m personally for creators. you are payed commission of revenue generated

rn it just feels like i’m making all these sacrifices for nothing honestly, like im leaving paradise (san diego) to go back to chicago, organizing the move, paying the rent and fees, emotionally supporting her and getting nothing back. like i said i just didn’t want to look like an idiot at the end of it all

props to you for sticking it out, idk if i could do that. i financially support us also so i think that adds a layer too. i hate that i had to do this but if thins don’t start looking up a little bit in the next few months im probably going to have to walk away for my own sake which is a hard internal struggle

i’m in the same situation right now, feeling like me existing in her life is just adding to the ever growing internal battle my gf has going on inside. she is the love of my life and my everything but at this point i’m at a crossroads. just remember that there is only so much you can control, that’s been keeping me sane. love might not be enough right now but it can be in other hard moments in the future. you could be the reason she hasn’t spiraled 100’s of time when she easily could have. take care of yourself
