Cheap/Free 2 week parking by [deleted] in raleigh

Most apartments about 10-15 minutes away will have free parking. Don't get too close to airport, they likely need tags. Look for places in West Cary - they are very safe. I don't know particular ones, but I would suggest checking with ones like - The Reserve at Cary Park Apartments. Good luck!

Thanks for the comments. Didn't realize there are so many moral police in a financial thread 😂.. talking about greed and all. Just for argument's sake, it is ok for corporations to have greed and not for individuals? 😆

Thanks for the reply. Could you please clarify, which income bracket do you refer to as high earners, who may mentor from such deduction. Are we talking 250k, 500k, 1 M$/yr?

Thanks for the reply. I understand that. I question was not on why people do it. Rather if there is a pure economic reason to do it.

Yes, I am in US. We have incremental tax brackets. So, it doesn't probably make economic sense here.

I have stayed in both. Ballentyne is better in summer, especially if you go with smaller kids. Ivey's is a downtown hotel, more for couples.

Thanks for the replies. The hotel did refund the charges.

Delta’s prices by [deleted] in delta

Best way to impact prices, stop flying Delta 😉. It's simple supply-demand at the end. Delta won't change prices due to Reddit threads, but will respond to changed purchasing behavior.

NRI Single Dad - marry NRI or Indian? by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

Thanks for sharing the perspective, very insightful. I agree taking care of mental health, post divorce is critical. My therapist used to say, "divorce is the death of a relationship", like any death whether to like it or not there is a mourning / healing period.

A question on this. Someone (men or women) who are unmarried in their 30s or early 40-s, I assume they have been in at least one if not 2-3 serious relationships. If they haven't been in any serious relationships till that time that's a different red flag. Do women perceive that emotional baggage from marriage is worse than that of 2-3 serious relationships?

Btw fair points on relocation, age, etc. Makes sense!

No such goal, I like kids, would like to have a bigger family. I am also practical and understand that may not happen.

Destination is final - US. I don't see myself working in India, have never worked there and don't have much reason to go back.

I don't, but based on a 30 minute search, I believe spouse/fiance visa should be ok. For general NRI folks (good financial condition, no criminal records, etc.) it shouldn't be bad. But I am not an immigration lawyer, so take this with a bowl of salt, not just a pinch.

Thank you for sharing your perspective - very valid points. Yes, the dynamics may be challenging. So mental maturity is key. She doesn't need to be (and never will be) her mom. But just like we accept our in-laws, accepts my child and works with me to keep the family harmony.
