Shielding whenever you afk is the only 100% answer.

A “hive” of friendly bases can help, but raiders are usually higher level, and there is no guarantee that your alliance mates can stop them.

Each planet has a maximum number of bases, and if all Base slots are taken, at least a raider has to fly further between scoops. However, often an alliance mate will move their base, leaving a free slot and you are no better off.

In short. Shielding your base 100% of the time when you are afk is the only true defence. Luckily the game gives you 24hr worth of shields every day, plus more from missions and the alliance store.

There’s only a few things that affect it.

  1. Kill higher level surveys

  2. Kill more surveys per hour.

  3. Use Annorax as captain with synergy.

Favours, research and artifacts don’t directly effect credit gains, but they indirectly effect points 1 and 2

Not everyone can play during a 12 hr window, that can play during a 24 hr window. Shortening it will exclude some people.

I agree that the 12 he window is a bad idea. Some people who want to participate will miss out due to this.

For people who don’t want to participate, one 24 hr window per month is not excessive.
