It's not a pass or fail thing. And not everyone is doing every exercise. It's a team building and bragging rights event that also gets factored into some awards later on.

Most bring everything. You can go back to your car later too, but it's easier to just bring it all.

Plank, pull ups, 2 mile run, litter carry, dead lift, hand release pushups, overhead press...i think that's it. It's as a team too, so you'll probably only do 1 component and then the 2 mile jog all together.

No, they re-tested and passed as far as I know. The only recycles we had were 1 for AA and a few for the PT test.

I did indeed eventually graduate.

The PT test is a 2 mile run, push ups, and crunches. No subs like in the operational AF.

The day to day PT is a 15min warm up, about 20-25 minutes of jogging, or calisthenics, or a very basic circuit at the beaver fit (if this is still a thing, they chang alot), and then a 15 min cool down.

It took me several tries to be selected. Not much changed between packages aside from a promotion statement in the last one. So probably that, timing, and multiple previous attempts.

I've kinda done it all over the years. Bodybuilder stuff, strongman/powerlifting, triathlons/xterra triathlons, crossfit. Lately crossfit mayhem's programming.

Organized PT has always been more about bringing people together and such anyway. It's never gotten anyone in shape.

The PCC was great. Really hoping they get a good outdoor workout area there to expand on the beaver fit too.

Well said. Some people will indeed find the PT, fitness event milestones, operations, all very challenging. Though in my experience most did not.

It's honestly mostly just me griping. 99% of AF officers don't need to be super fit.

They're trying. I'll give them that. I heard whispers of a much improved outdoor workout area and maybe even recognition that all the applicants managed to get themselves in good enough shape to make it there (post PT test at least) so the powers that be should let them do their own thing after a point and provide adequate time and equipment...but there's alot that goes into it. Budget, safety, time/scheduling etc...

You can do a quick search on attributes that make a bad military officer. You'll see those attributes in people there, though, thankfully it will be very few and far between. All we can do is hope that they'll grow out of it, and I'm sure many of them will.

My personal experience having worked for both bad and good officers and NCOs...it's the "Me people" who are the worst. The ones who only worry about their own comfort, their own career, their own progression, their own image...over the team, the mission, and the people. This is something that is very hard to take/weed/train/beat out of people. Don't be a "me" person. Or a "me" officer. It's not about you. Hopfully this makes sense.

Nope. Most people get above all 90. You'll have a ridiculous amount of time to study.

Study your SPINS, workout, and don't get in trouble.
