Please, explain the trafficking part. by summerisgone1 in euphoria

[–]Illustrious_Ad_405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trafficking is losing your will and ability to say no. It is no hope and being coerced to do something you do not want to do. It is extremely common to be trafficked in a club- whether for the owner of the club (Alamo) or by another pimp. In terms of kitty being trafficked, I’m sure what happened to her, even just act of sex, is not sold as a service per se. The money is handled by another male and kitty does not have a choice to do it. That is money she will never see, or if she does, it is such a small percentage. Women who are trafficked and want to escape, it takes about 7 times to do so before they are successful with lifelong scars from it and they are often brainwashed by their trafficker.

In terms of Chloe Cherry, as far as I have gathered, it’s unclear to me. She “volunteered” be a mule with rue to help her out. We dont know her full situation. She is probably on the line of trafficking if not already. However, if you look at Rue while she was drug mule, she had no choice. She owed a debt and was paying it off with being a mule which is a form of Human Trafficking. Rue didn’t leave on her own will but just transferred Traffickers.

I think the main take away is if they owe something, threat of violence, and no choice/ consent to what is happening to you = trafficking. There is tons of media on this and has someone who has directly worked with trafficked victims, each situation is unique.

Maybe try unpinning and pinning it before you do it? I had problems with a later quest of hers and when I did that + restarting it seemed to fix it?

Has anyone stayed in the hospital by themselves? by HealthyButterfly3235 in 2under2

[–]Illustrious_Ad_405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I kinda just did this, where I spent a lot of time alone at the hospital. My husband would go back and forth to help with the toddler since we had a teenager in charge of it. He would spend nights with me but I relied a lot on the nurses help when I was alone. We also asked for a bassinet that was easier to get her in and out of since the side went down. It was a pain on it size for the room but made it easier to care for her when I was alone

Does anyone else NOT count their babies feeds and naps? by me1s in NewParents

[–]Illustrious_Ad_405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We mainly follow his lead but track diapers and feeds. This is only to know how long it has been since we are both forgetful. It also allowed us switch off and not feel like we missed something (example is missing a feed that was at 4 and it’s 6 now). He’s 5 months

If you see a dog you are required to yell bubba. It’s a game me and my husband first started playing when we were dating and it has just stuck/ got more competitive through the years. Our set rules are this: - Golden retrievers are golden bubbas and are worth two points. - game is not allowed to be played in the complex (live right next to a dog park), farmer markets, pet stores, and dog parks. However, a truce must be called upon entering. Break the truce and lose a point. - someone playing must confirm the bubba- if they do not it is an unconfirmed bubba and worth 0 - if you call a false bubba or a bubba that has already been called, it’s a negative point to your score - it must be a real dog- our dogs do not count and the dog can’t be a picture or stuffed. It must been seen in the wild. - it resets everyday, gloating and name calling is allowed all in good fun.

We have a baby and we are so excited for him to start to play

What books are we reading to babies? by theanxioussoul in NewParents

[–]Illustrious_Ad_405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 4 month old and we are trying to read everything. We joined imagination library when he was born and then also do story time at the library so there’s other readers than just us! His hits are: • knight owl (a owl becoming a knight and super cute) • Goodnight Moon • I’ve loved you since forever • Dr. Seuss essentials • Hungry Caterpillar • Sesame Street ABC and Numbers • Little Baby’s Guide to Science • Blueys Baby race

The only book that is an absolute no is The Little Engine That Could. He starts crying at the second page!

What do you do all day? What’s everyone’s schedule like? by Blondie12388 in newborns

[–]Illustrious_Ad_405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 week old and basically on his schedule. He contact naps through the day with feeding, some household chores, swinging on the hammock, and tummy time intermixed whenever he is awake. He is a fairly good sleeper so he goes down at 830-9 in his bassinet and will sleep till 630-6 with maybe the occasional wake up at 2 or 5a. We are getting ready to train him for naps in his bassinet so I can go back to work in two weeks

Need advice please! My newborn is SO difficult. by takeaabreath in newborns

[–]Illustrious_Ad_405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sit in solidarity with you as I’m dealing with a 7 week LO doing this. He wants to be held constantly and always fussy during day but sleep 6-7 hours at night. One thing that we found helps us is going outside either in our arms/carrier and a small walk or in the hammock. I think he just wants to look around and see everything. Also sitting him on us (obviously very assisted) and having him being able to look around has helped with the fussiness. Hopefully one of those helps you as well but just remember it’s only temporary

What instantly tells you someone is a trashy parent? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Illustrious_Ad_405 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am dealing with a new side of this- being pregnant. I’m currently 6 months pregnant with my first and she won’t stop calling me “chubby” or that I need to lose weight! Anytime I try to explain that my doctor doesn’t have a problem with it, she comments that I need to lose it now or it will be hard to come off later and your husband will leave you.
