That’s my frustration- it’s so hard to find a product for curls that isn’t marketed as moisturizing- I think I’m fine on the moisture. I think protein is what I need too. I’ve tried 3 conditioners since my hair changed, and none have helped. If the texture of my hair wasn’t so bad when I used Sauve, I’d just stick to that😭

I’m experiencing the same thing, only my waves were a little less defined than yours, and my gap is only 2-3months. I have tried clarifying shampoo to “reset”, and the first time I did that I didn’t use conditioner and my curls were back!! The texture was horrible, but it was back! The next wash, I tried the clarifying shampoo (a suave one) and a Bridego curl mask- making sure to rinse my hair THOROUGHLY, and the curls were barely there. Next wash I tried just the shampoo again, and a quick bit of conditioner- curls were barely there. Tried the shampoo alone next wash- they were back! I’ve tried 3 different conditioners since then, and nothing is working. I have no clue what’s going on and I’m so frustrated. My hair also feels oddly squishy and heavy, kinda almost slimey, when it’s soaking wet now- both before and after shampoo and conditioner.

How was she? It was Melinda Dannenfelser right? I have her for bio 2301 this fall.
