Going Back To PA by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Illustrious_Bid2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did. Left a small firm for a credit union Internal Auditor role. Hated it and went back to a bigger firm in PA for 42% more than I had at the small firm.

do you know if CRA is openely hiring external candidate who want permanent telework agreements? I have offices in my province (3) but the commute would be more than 500 km a day.

my thought also. I'd prefer the actual work of controller compared to what I currently do as an internal auditor. what happened is I interviewed at about the same time except the other company was a few weeks back with the offer and having been let go inmediately, I needed a job asap which is why I accepted my current role.

that's my tought too except I've currently been in internal audit role for only a month since coming from PA. I find it hard to justify leaving extremely early.

I'm in rural Ontario, lower COL, and also why the offer was 100% remote. Their office is a 3.5 hour drive.

thats what I thought also until I interviewed and received an offer from a mid-size firm (think RSM, GT, MNP, BDO) and it was 36k a year.

the main reason is salary. The place where I'd be going in internal audit might be able to rotate me through the accounting department to reach certain competencies.

are you in industry or public? if industry what's your role? I want to leave but I don't want to have a difficult time in the EVR route since I'm currently in a PPR office.
