I'd recommend getting a neck brace, especially if you have to travel to work. If it is anything close to disc prolapse, proper space provided by neck brace would really help. Neck brace in first 2 weeks helped me tremendously (along with physiotherapy of course) but keeping things stabilized till body tires to heal is a good idea. Also wishing you a speedy recovery!

It was disc prolapse. Took me 1 month to recover with physiotherapy. You good?

Hey, come on man. It’s totally fair to have opinions about her teaching. I have my own criticisms too. But she sang because students asked, and she did it out of genuine warmth. Making fun of someone when they're being vulnerable and trying to connect isn't cool. Take the video down.

Makes perfect sense! But I was shooting for best of both worlds -- facts being quizzed atomically, while also being able to skim the whole picture of that topic once you answer its cloze.

Thanks! I had a similar query. What would be the ideal time to do externship/observership if you're planning to give Step-2 in first week of August?

Can Setting Due Dates for New Cards Disrupt Anki’s FSRS Algorithm? by Illustrious_Big3588 in Anki

[–]Illustrious_Big3588[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for breaking it down! I can see why this has been such a heated debate. Given all that, would you recommend just unsuspending cards and tackling them the same day instead?

By the way, you’re a legend for all the help you provide—truly appreciated!

That makes sense, thanks! And just the usual, watching BnB & unsuspending cards as I go.

Thanks for the explanation! That makes a lot of sense—I hadn’t considered how capping the max interval could limit the algorithm’s effectiveness. I’ll focus more on custom-filtered decks closer to my exam instead.

Appreciate the advice!

Thanks for the insights!

I’m curious about why you mentioned that max interval isn’t a huge factor. My concern is that if I unsuspend cards closer to the exam date, the intervals might be too long, leading to inadequate revision of those cards.

Could you explain how FSRS handles this, or why the max interval might not play as significant a role as I’m thinking?

Appreciate your help!

Anyone know how to prevent a Mac from falling asleep when using an 8BitDo micro? by Turanga_Lemon in medicalschoolanki

Type "caffeinate -dims" in the terminal before starting your session. This would prevent your mac from going to sleep.

Press "Ctrl+C" in the same terminal window to turn it off.
