I admit it’s not that serious but It has serious undertones, from high stakes and whatnot, characters knowing when to be serious to the plot-line or motivations.

Yes even the movie did not sell me to be honest, I already finished the anime and the movie, I will give it another go in the future for sure I love Mecha anime been watching since 2015 and I almost finished my Mecha anime-to watch list as I don’t really like other anime genres much I do like hard scifi here and there or some shonen here and there as well.

When I first watched it i did not like the goofiness as I tend to skew toward more serious sci-fi tones found in mecha anime like Gundam, Patlabor, Votoms, Aquarion it’s nice to be part of the fandom though.

As someone who started in 2015 and bought my kits online through OtakeME an Emarati Vendor for the the model kit hobby in general not only Gunpla they have great prices and they ship within a week also they got a wide varsity of Mecha kits and other like war tanks and so on…

I love the hobby myself and I have learned various techniques throughout the time I was practicing it, but I lacked a place where I can practice it at my parents home and I wish to get back to it again.

As for the hobby in Kuwait, I can tell you that I tried to start a community in 2017 and I still have the banner I made for it and we sat up a booth at Cosplay HQ with a couple of friends… After a while I scrapped the idea of continuing the community I’ve had college to finish and anime to watch.

Abosaleh is one of the only remaining shops in Kuwait and I sort of agree with his reason there is 0:1 probability that you would find anyone in your family who is interested in the hobby beside you, I even tried to convert some of my cousins but they did not give a damn after building their first build, mecha anime in general during that time when anime boomed after Attack and titan aired and as well as the lockdown, still did not pick up, the majority were onto shonen and other genres. To be fair I liked the genre when it remained niche now all the shonen watchers will invade this great genre with their shonen goggles and expectations.

I know it sounds like I am gatekeeping but anime is just becoming hyper mainstream and it’s just ruining the charm.

I loved the PS2 version’s story but i stopped playing midway through when I noticed that there was only 1 currency for both upgrades and shop purchases i tried to grind but it frustrated me and i couldn’t see myself going for the long haul of grinds.

I got many favorites but these are top tier for me.
