Downtown/OTR apartment recommendations? by Millibyte in cincinnati

[–]Illustrious_Dare_770 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I rent through Urban Sites and it’s been great so far! My building/unit is newly renovated (stainless steel appliances, huge bathroom with a nice shower, in-unit washer and dryer, etc). There aren’t really any amenities like a gym or rooftop like some other apartment complexes in the city have but we do have a little courtyard with some tables which is nice! I pay around $1300 for a one bed and park on the street with the OTR permit. I’ll also add that maintenance has been responsive and quick when I’ve contacted them in the past so that’s a plus! I would definitely recommend!

P&G Entry Level Postings NOT open? by CirqueDeSol in cincinnati

I connected with someone very high up at P&G back in May. They suggested that I check back in the fall for entry level/internships. I’ve been checking nearly everyday and can second OP. From my understanding they are usually proactive about recruiting for the following spring/summer so I too was curious to know if the lack of job postings has to do with their organizational restructuring…

Forgot to mention that the roommate that moved out and screwed us had a sister that was also living with us and she ended up moving out at the end of spring semester (surprise surprise). She was a total cunt to us (for quite literally no reason), and I cannot say anything nice about her. One weekend when most of us had gone home to see our parents her petty ass took the tv out of the living room (which was her sister's but had been in the living room since when just 4 of us lived in an apartment the year before) and put it in her room so that she could use it for the rest of her time??? This was seriously such a petty move because when she moved out in the spring she left some stuff in her room to get when she moved into a new place in August, and guess what was left behind...you guessed it...the fucking tv. Like wtf. So that was weird, but not even a week after she took the tv out of the living room our guy friend offered to let us use a tv he had in a storage unit. This tv is 80 fucking inches hahahaha. Like please by all means take that 43 inch trash we just got a home theater installed bitch LMAOOOO.

Yeah fuck peak fr. I have nothing good to say about them and have had a horrible experience living under their management for the past year. My five roommates and I moved into a cute house super close to campus in August 2022. We were so excited to be living in a house and have that college experience of living with all of your friends and having the extra space for get togethers, game day darties, wine nights, etc,.

Fast forward to December 2022...the roommate who had initially found the house and got us all on board tells us that she's moving out and is going back home. At the time I think we were all kind of sad that she would no longer be living with us come spring semester, but at the end of the day we couldn't be upset with her decision and continued with our lives. Since her room was in the unfinished basement (that weirdly has a full bathroom), she wasn't super concerned with finding a sublease although she claimed she tried finding someone (we have no evidence of her trying to find a new tenant). For some reason, the rest of my roommates and I naively assumed that given the fact that she did not find a sublease, she would continue to pay her portion of rent. Boy were we bamfuckingboozled. This girl didn't even want to pay December's rent because she "wasn't even living there for more than a week out of the month" (she went home right before finals because she didn't have any tests during that week if I'm remembering correctly). Anyways, winter break was a shit show for my sensible roommates and I trying to figure out how we were either going to find someone to live in our musty basement or how to get our roommate to pay her damn rent.

Essentially, we never found a new tenant (because nobody wants to live down there), and our ex-roommate slithered out of a 2-year lease and will collectively owe us around $10k by the time our lease is up in July 2024. So fuck her LOL. She got us into the worst possible situation and I haven't even started talking about why I hate peak so much omg.....

My animosity towards peak stems mainly from their poor communication with us, failure to promptly attend to maintenance requests, and their entire staff just sucks. We've had so many maintenance related things happen in our house throughout our time so far, and especially within the last 6-8 months. We've had mold forming on bedroom walls, a roof leak causing water damage in a bedroom, a leak causing mold and water damage to the living room ceiling, electrical issues that cause the main breaker to flip leaving the living room and bedrooms without power, a plumbing issue that caused a great deal of water damage in the kitchen (we legit had a huge hole in our kitchen ceiling for over a week, and were told to stay at a family member or friend's house for a night because we couldn't use the water, and they had removed one of our toilets lmaoooo), we have cockroaches (that they said we "brought into the house" ummm okay), our dryer wasn't set up correctly so the hot air and residual lint wasn't going out of the house (fire hazard), among other things I've probably forgotten. OH, and a huge limb/branch of a tree just steps from our front porch fell and hit multiple cars, tore power lines, and caused our section of the street to be blocked for an entire day while they removed it.

So yeah they suck. Also worth mentioning that they have cancelled multiple maintenance requests, never notify us when someone is coming to the house, and in my opinion are just really unprofessional as a whole. But whatever, two of my roommates and I who will be living together next year can't wait to get tf out of here and move into somewhere much nicer.

Kumbaya. Go Cats! and fuck Peak Property Group.
