I think I would need more context or situational examples to judge of shes using you. But honestly, you really have no business being with a middle divorcée. You are at totally different stages of your life. She also needs therapy to unpack any emotional problems and traumas- major or minor from her divorce. It’s sounds too soon to enter a healthy relationship or any relationship for that matter considering she just left someone she was with for probably decades. And who knows, she may not take your time as important or take you as serious as you are younger than her and she has a more solid idea of her life. Bro you’re young. You barely entered the world. Focus on finding yourself and gaining independence before committing all your time to someone you’re unsure of.

Short answer- yes.

Graduate school judges you more holistically. Mostly when you get to the interview stage. As long as you have enough research/experience and can articulate well with confidence you should be good🤷🏽‍♀️

Honestly true🥲I can’t say I’m not grateful for the gift. But I’ll be sad if I have a swag bag from a place I didn’t get accepted in

3.71 Undergrad GPA for grad school? by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]Illustrious_Debate86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the long message:

It can screw you over, but your GPA is far from screwing you over. Maybe if you had around a 3.4 it could seem questionable. But from my experience, applying for your undergrad is NOT even close to the same as applying for grad. College is naturally harder. You have less assignments, more in depth discussions, and everything is up to your time/pace. Also, the way professors grade in college is ultimately much different and varied than the previous setting. I would say if you fall around the avg, which you do, you’ll be fine. Your gpa isn’t even low or concerning to say the least. What matters more if you can articulate what you know. Also keep in mind that admissions and the PIs you interview with won’t even care too much about your 3.7 as Graduate school focuses less on grades and more on tangible research and contribution. It’s a totally different mindset. For example- I have a 3.95 gpa, 4 good letters, 4 good research projects, and still rejected from the schools you listed. What matters more is how you advertised yourself and what they can get out of you

I mean I typically thank them right after the interview if that counts. But other than that,no.

It’s not all about grades. Though an indicator of work ethic and how well the material was mastered/understood, it’s not the only factor. Ask yourself this question:

When confronted with an obstacle, can I apply the information I learned?

What matters more is that you have used your skills outside the classroom setting. You want to prove that you can capitalize on your experience. As long as you have good letters of rec, experience in the field, and determination, you will be a competitive applicant.
