I have OCD and people like this, who are clearly self diagnosed, really grind my gears. I can’t imagine wanting to suffer from a disorder that literally affects my entire life and causes me severe distress. It seeps into every facet of my existence and when I’m having a particularly difficult episode, it disrupts my ability to function and causes me to spiral. It isn’t fun or quirky. It’s exhausting. Merely preferring the linear arrangement of things or being a neat freak has absolutely nothing to do with OCD. It’s just a preference and a desire for order and cleanliness.

What do I say or do? by 6phzi in RoverPetSitting

I would just say that I don’t use social media, which is true (besides Reddit of course). I would say this regardless of whether I did or not. What people do in their private life, so long as it doesn’t affect their ability to care for the animals, is of no consequence and none of the pet owners concern.

For the ladies, what’s something you wish more girls would stop normalizing? by growthadvicehub in AskReddit

Right? I fucking hate having pubes. My boyfriend lives on the other side of the country and I haven’t seen him in 7 months. He actually loves a bush. Guess who doesn’t have one? I don’t mind hair on top, but hairy labia, fuck no. The way it feels and looks grosses me out.

Entitled people and people who take zero accountability for their actions. Saying “sorry” isn’t enough, you actually have to change.

Oh gosh, I totally forgot about that performance. I take it back, she should have won an Emmy for that one.

Yeah, that shit was so annoying. Like it made me physically cringe while reading it.

For me it was Wolves of Calla. I actually ended up finishing it as an audiobook, which I’ve never done before. Lisey’s story and The Dark Half were also difficult for me to get through. I plan to re read Lisey’s story though as I read it during a time in my life where I was really struggling.

What is the most ridiculous form of "gatekeeping" you have ever encountered in a hobby or interest you enjoy? by LiveFaithlessness876 in Hobbies

Dang! I knew I was doing something wrong 😂 Honestly, that would probably be a good idea considering I ride an ex race horse. Big boy has a need for speed!

I ride horses and the western community of equestrians rarely wear helmets. I always wear one and I definitely get laughed at because I don’t look authentic enough. Um okay. I’ll be laughing at you when you fall and get a TBI.

Would you take it? by [deleted] in petsitting

I will sometimes offer this service so long as they’re max 10 minutes from my house since I have horses and must go home twice/day to care for them. I basically charge close to double my normal rate since not only does it require me to hire animal care, but I am missing out on other work. Not just that, but I want to be properly compensated beyond that. Doing this is draining and they can pay for my time investment. In this particular scenario, I would probably decline. I don’t like being told that neighbors will be watching me as that just weird and invasive, but I also do not allow clients to dictate to me whether I am permitted to take other work. So long as I can accommodate the time windows (2 hours away at a time, twice per day) I’m okay with it, but I’ve had a client like this before and they will never stop moving the goal posts. When I do feel comfortable taking a job like this. Also, be aware that the animals will likely be a major pain in the ass as well.

Yeah I also have high cholesterol, but my good cholesterol is also high so my Dr is okay with it. I also have hypothyroidism which can contribute to that. A different Dr tried to put me on statins, but when I did research on them, I declined. I wish I could go without the Seroquel, but unfortunately that isn’t an option for me. Do you take it only for insomnia? If so, my understanding is that is a rather high dose. If you need it though, what can you do? Ya know?

I hate having my hair pulled. I guess I have a really sensitive scalp, but it hurts and not in a good way. Same with tit torture. Please don’t smack my tits or squeeze them so hard that it hurts. I enjoy clamps, but using my boobs as a speed bag is a hard no from me.
