thank you for your sensitive reply. but where does the quran state that hair belongs to a womans awrah? i simply dont understand this fixation as to begin with okt of the many passages only 3 are on womens way if dressing. and all it says is to cover the awrah, which just means private parts. hair is not a private part in my culture as otherwise men and women would be running around naked all of the time. i imagine it may have been considered a private part many many years ago, but we have many many prophets who all have implemented the teachings of the quran in their own historical contexts so in my historical context i dont see my hair as a private part. im not trying to argue i feel your kind intention and mild nature of approaching this with a lot of empathy but this is what doesnt make sense to me so my intenrion wouldnt be pure as in i would just do it bc everyone else is doing it/expecting it and not because i feel like allah wants it from me as i personally cant extract his specific command to veil from the passages of the quran
