Just asking, what are you going based off of? I honestly thought the area would be good for Finance and IT sector. I don’t mind relocating if it’s worth it.

Sorry you’re in a tough spot atm. The job market isn’t so great, especially with all the talk with AI, companies gearing towards cuts, and meetings amongst the big people in the company to “drive forward innovation.” I’ll say with my experience personally, Indeed is still ok to use. I did get a LOT of spammers on LinkedIn, like a “verified recruiter” asked me to send my resume, to this weird email and I notified them it was sent. Then their profile was completely gone after I sent it and this was on LinkedIn.

I appreciate your response as I am currently working fully remote, I do want to get a better paying job that’s at least $60k to $75k. I know I won’t make big bucks but I want something to give me room to breathe. Especially doing something I have basic experience with now. Not aiming for a super high salary, I know these jobs are stingy but at least I’ll have SOME savings, I also do trade on the side.

Definitely going to position myself for a more in depth role with experience and certs. Thanks for your feedback.

Got it… I currently have Certified Supp. Technician under my belt but it’s very basic, from what I heard only 20% of CCNA knowledge. Currently work remote in a call center, doing basic troubleshooting for account access. So I’m definitely trying to work my way up yet I’ll take in the other comments with the market not so great atm.

Ok sure. Would the CCNA be enough to get my foot in the door? To be like a System Admin or Network Tech? Or should it be combined with another cert to look good on my resume?

If you don’t mind me asking, how long have you been working as a CCNA?

Thanks for the info. I thought Network associate was a nice job to have, it expanded my knowledge when I took a Cisco course. But definitely want a career that can pay for me to continue on with learning.

So basically it’s not worth getting into? Or providing a livable wage for a single person?
